Spell Preperations

I wanted to see how others felt about this. In game, most people who cast spells will maybe: sit on the ground, draw a circle, have afew props besides their spell book, and say some words *I personally say the few elven/magic sentences I know from LotR/Excalibur and the chant from Outlaw Star. I may add afew supposed mystical gestures.

* It was brought to my attention by Vaun that not many actually get into spell casting more than this. As in, creative lighting, powders, crystals, etc. Is this needed in the game? I think these are nice add-ons and creates more emersion. I just would like to know of what others do for the Arcane or other mystical skills. Maybe alittle brainstorming........

I for one would love to see more of this sort of thing. Things that make it obvious that magic is happening.

I would like to point out also that Arthos used to do big movements and hand gestures and words, that was pretty cool. Ug is now singing. This are cool things. Vaun had her candle at the last event.

I still love her face when she came back to them all blown out, since she left them unattended and Ka didn't want the forest to burn down.

The only spell Ka knows is "Stinking Cloud" and he just needs some beans and a spoon to cast that.

How people RP their magic is up to them. Some may be flashy casters, others may not be. All we ask is that you do indeed RP out your spell casting. When I was playing Kildare, I used bones and feathers and did a lot of "Hand Trembling" and meditation

what's this spoon thing you speak. us cows need no aids in eating. Just throw it on the ground in front of us and we're good.

Yes Ug is a bardic mage of some kind I am not sure as to what kind that is. My ears are still bleeding fro his last spell I had to hear him cast.
