Gnomes Playable?

Hello!

I'm brand new to the area, and LARP is something I've always wanted to get into. I've been scoping you guys out and familiarizing myself with the rules to try to make a character ahead of time. I did have one question though (probably more eventually, but just the one right now xD)--are Gnomes playable? I see a lot of references to Gnomes here and there throughout the Handbook, but I don't see them in the list of playable races. Just a curiosity of mine. I love Gnomes and would definitely play one if they were available, though if not I don't have any problems picking something else. ^^
