Description:
NOTING that there is currently no system for retaining the value invested in a character a player wishes to retire.
BELIEVING that there is a needed role for the ability to retire characters to allow for new and interesting stories to be created while allowing part of a significant investment to be kept.
FURTHER NOTING that this is a complex endeavour, and it may take multiple proposed rules before a reasonable decision may be made;
FURTHER BELIEVING that the ability to retire characters and retain some benefit of the time invested in them will be supported by most players;
HEREBY
1. PROPOSE the Final Haven staff adopt a rule outlining the retiring of a character.
2. SUGGEST the following outline as a possible candidate for that rule.
"Retiring a character must be done during Check-In before Game On Friday night and must be approved by the Game Staff before you go into play. Retirement of a character will have it's total XP split in half, not counting the initial character points and be given to the new character. The total value of all possessions, not counting the value of starting gear, will be converted into coin and split in half, half being given to the player."
