Hold Ground

I have a question about the skill Hold Ground. Lets say I am standing in the doorway of the Inn, if some big monster comes up to me and says "Press", can I counter it with Hold Ground?

Nope, but you could (upon seeing his aproach) initiate hold ground, and thus become unpressable.
(you cant respond reflexivly, it has to be initiated prior to engagement)
