Can someone point me in the direction of clarified info regarding troops? I have no idea how they are supposed to work.

Yeah it kinda cuts off during the black market section in the Hero and Villain expansion.

That section is still currently being Re-vamped - it is hoped to be done by Final Haven.

For the older version which should still be mostly Valid refer to the older Rules Update thread about the Economic system.
