Cataclysm
Is there an approximate date / season on the Cataclysm? I looked through the lore but didn't see it. Closest was that letter from Strider's man saying 1050 P.E.W. minus about six months so sometime in First Month 1050.
I'd assume that makes the current date +50 or 1059 PEW, but for some reason I though we added a few years between the cataclysm and the start of the FH game back in the day. And now despite having been there, I cannot actually recall how long FH has been going now either. I wanna say this is year 7 or 8.

There once was a man named Eli,
A man who claimed he could not die.
But one thing makes him wail:
That's when there is no ALE!
Thus his tale: with no beer, he will cry.
(The dark haired, green eyed mage child has faded into the past leaving behind one not quite an adult, but clearly no longer a child. The warrior-mage mixture that he has become can only be described as a survivor. )

Wayne says 2 years then 5 after the cataclysm. All lore points to FH starting 2 years after the cataclysm however.

I like the time messing thing. Breaking and un-breaking magic seems to me to mesh well with screwing up time. I also thought it was 5 years after cataclysm that we began FH and it's been 8 years since then (damn that went fast). I believe I'll go with time was wacky idea. Thx! Meow I just need to do some reading into the oldest lore books I own to determine a few other dates and as one of the two longest pc's turn in a history heh.

Well yes, the cataclysm was 50 years after CARPS, but there was time between cataclysm and FH first event, + 8 years of FH. Either way the time being screwy makes helps answer the question I had. except the exact date question, but I may not actually know that, and besides most players don't even know what PEW means so it'd be moot to have a date.GM_Chris wrote:I always thought it was 50

That proves you can read Tod's post... what were / are the essence wars that we need to keep dates post them?
Answer that and I'll give you one of Eli's cherished cookies!
