Shale runs out the portal exit and looks around happily safe. "We have anyone? No one got lost?" He chuckles a bit, and scans the perimiter for hostiles before letting his guard down. Checks to see where Ka and Seth are.

Well then we have successfully made it 3 hours out of town in 5 hours. Let us hope the journey will not run into these obsticals throughout...

I missed that one, but I think there was something in there about long verse deadly. And I guess that if the goal it to reach our destination with out causing any harm it is admirable, if highly unlikely. Either way we have moved passed the lizards and did not have to make our journey deadly for any of them. Let us hope that sending off two of our own into the unknown to cast a spell there by limiting the effectiveness of their duo to one, alone , holds true to our current luck. Because that is all it was.

Next time while Ka is casting and five or six creatures burst from the woods, he will have one person between him and being rendered unconscious and at the will of what ever jumps out.

(note correct me if I am wrong, but you CANNOT cast in armor. So ka is getting it back on now right?)

Well, that was bracing...Shall we continue on? Dallid, how far are we now from the ruins where we encountered the shambling atrocities on our first effort towards Brokehill? Perhaps we should send a scout ahead to see if any have returned to the area.

We did not see them yesterday. Hopefully today will prove no different. we should reach the ruins shortly.

(Assuming they lie between the Lizard domain and the Dark Wood. From our last attempt to find Brokehill, the ruins were three hours away from town, yet we did not pass through a haunted wood on the way there).

Ug, will the portal on the other side - the Sending Circle - close on it's own? And what was that we passed through?
