Witchhunter

Post by Rahl »

Ok please don't start beating me yet cuz I'm pretty sure this question has been covered somewhere... I'll just be damned if I can find it.

So is witchhunter Privledged only or can Common access it too?

Ok, thats it... let the beatings begin. Get it on!

Witch Hunter is both Privileged and Common.

If you have questions on any of these, you can always check the rulebook - they are listed with each discipline description as well as a neat chart at the beginning of the disciplines section.

Hope that was helpful.

For reference the chart is accurate, use it. Some of the disciplines were wrong in the description, no idea if that was ever fixed.

Witchhunter is only priviledged. And swashbuckler is only common.

Wow, that's interesting, I never noticed that discrepancy. Can I get a plot nod that that is indeed how it's supposed to be so I can fix it in the proof-read rulebook that I'm working on?

Thanks,
Tonia

And that is why I asked that question. Sorry about not pointing it out earlier. Most other folks I know had noticed the discrepancy and I had thought it was common knowledge. I just didn't know which listing was right... at any rate, can we get a GM to weigh in on this please?

Well that sucks. I'm sure I asked a gm and was told witch hunter was common and privildged. On multiple occasions when creating my pc. And it is incorrect not only under discription but also under the table of contents, which list them as well.

sigh!

I have more to say on this but am too iritated to post now

Bumping this back over for discussion..

It was mentioned by Wayne that Witch-Hunter should be just a privilaged disciplin. Need other GMs like a Chris, Todd, or Mike to comment please.

My two cents, see I'm on the fense. I can see reasons for it either way. Since it takes some sort of dedication like a Knight, I could see Witch-Hutner being privilaged only for hey there was a recruitment process for them of sorts before the cataclysm.

But...on the other hand, perhaps with the breaking even the common individual has some traces of Witch-Hunter in them in terms of the magical ability.

So, like I said, I'm on the fense..but we need GM imput here.

Chris and I discussed this over AIM just a bit ago. For now we are going with it as Privledged and Common. We will look at it in the ff season. I like it both common and privledged for story reasons. The mechanical problem comes with the Man at Arms/ Witch Hunter. They can rsist Fear, Sleep, Magic, and they will pretty much never loose their sheild.
