Crafting Locks

Question for the Gm's on the time it takes to a complex lock vs the time it takes to pick a simple lock. I was reading over the rules on how to build the two locks. When I noticed that simple locks take 1 hour to craft per every 5 minutes it takes to pick. Than I read the complex lock and it reads. It takes 1 hour to craft per every 2 minutes it takes to pick. Is there a reason that is harder to pick a simple lock than the complex? Should they not take the some amount of time to pick?

no, the idea is that it takes longer to make THE LOCK. you can spend as much time as you want crafting it.

It's like crafting a barred door versus a punch code door. To make the simple one effective, it's pretty easy and while it may take some time, everyone can get by it. The punch code takes longer but fewer people have the skill to get by it.
