To the Village in search of the Perfect Being

“To prevent one from dying is to prevent unknowable others from living. The wolf is meant to die. If that is prevented, the wolf would then hunt creatures meant to live. His carcass would not decay there to enrich the soil allowing new plants to grow, or serve to feed and house other life. I would prefer to leave the natural order unaltered, and allow Phantara to be as it would. Only had he carried a spreading plague would I have interfered, for such a blight might devastate Phantara as much as any Evil Dragon, given her fragile state following the Cataclysm.”
“I am me, and hold no name for myself, for I need none such to know who I am. However a society can hardly function without names, and if I should live within one and must be titled, Dallid is perhaps most appropriate, for I hold his memories.”
“However I do not hold to Dallid’s unfortunate beliefs, developed, as they were, through the incorrect assumptions of men long dead. I aid only those who aid Phantara.”

*Looks on puzzled at what Dallid is saying*
"Umm...so you used to be Dallid, but now only carry his thoughts and memories?"
*Looking at everyone else who has known the unicorn man alot longer than himself, trying to gauge it this is normal behavior for Dallid or not from their expressions*

"No, I was never Dallid." Dallid responds to DarKarath. "He ended when I began."
*Dallid takes in the sights and sounds before them as they arrive at the village.*
“A hopeful sign, this is, for it may well be the work of Creation.”
*Goes to the nearest building and knocks on the door.*

From within th building the whistling abpruptly stops, followed by happy sounding voice saying, "Finally, people have returned." When the door is opened a smile on the very normal looking human quickly fades, and he says, "Oh...sorry, I just thought...no matter, it's nice to see people anyway. Come in. Sit down. What can I do for you?"

Judging by these buildings, there is a very good chance that what we are looing for is in that building, or this man can give us a good lead to it. I suggest we agree that no one, and I mean NO ONE **looks at drake** makes any rash actions. Necessity is one thing, but I would rather it not come to that. I know we need to collect this but we need to be sure, of what we are doing and who we are doing it too.
The man chuckles kindly at Dallid's words. "Blazes no, I couldn't make a walking stick if my life depended on it. The person you are looking for is Ulie, a little guy,a gnome. Apparently he got very motivated after the fire, claims this place will never burn down again. Never saw him with so much energy in my life...and then of course he just ups and leaves, hmmm, right about three days ago I guess. I suppose he finished and was tired of a town for one. Not enough company I'm guessing. But I can't help but stay and wait to see if others might come back. Glad to know about Mel and Anna. Good people them."

*Dallid turns back to the resident*
“Though I regret asking you to contemplate painful memories, our need for information is great. Were you here during the raid that destroyed this village? If so, would you recollect for us all you can of that event?”

*After a bit of time a red haired woman in a long black coat appears out of the woods. She immediately heads towards Kels and Drake.*
I've been lookin' around. What I found were some gnomish sized footprints. They were fairly old and inconsistent as they are fading away with time for they are not fresh tracks. I found a general trail that I think the little fellow used but again they are a few days old, so I'm puttin' that observation together based on knowledge as a scout. I followed this trail luvs guys and the tracks simply vanished. I spent several minutes trying to find the trail again, it is nowhere to be found.
