*DarKarath stands his ground and starts to survey the surroundings
"I dont like this one bit, I have heard of the lone wolf mentality, but i never thought id see it in front of me"
*Quietly to Drake
"Do you think this wolf is the bait for the others? or could it be what we see?"

*After a brief amount of time, Kidwynn returns back to the group. She approaches Atrum and Drake.*
Luvs, from what I can tell there are several sets of canine tracks, but there is no other sign of any. In general, they originate from one location and head off in another direction.
Not sure what all you would like to do next, but I'm getting a bad feelin' about all of this.

Dead pirate betrayed by Corbyn...ah well least I made him do his own dirty work when he killed me.
“A wolf of unusual size in unusual circumstance. It’s sleep is likely unnatural, as it should have awakened on our approach. Also, its pack would appear to have abandoned it – likely after being unable to rouse it.”
“As far as I am aware, an aspect could be within any living thing. However, when a host is incapacitated, the aspect within has always jumped to another sentient being, rather than to the grass the host lay upon, or an insect upon its body. However, should no sentient being be present, perhaps a wolf will do.”
*Approaches the wolf to perform Sense Magic while asking Drake:*
“Do you sense anything?”

*Dallid jerks back, his unicorn instincts scream at him to flee – that approaching such a predator is insanity. Clearly the beast is sick, and nature should be allowed to take its course. But his human side demands to know for sure. When in the unknown, the unusual is best investigated if possible.*
"Unlikely." He responds to Drake.
*He hesitates for a moment longer, but then again calmly extends a hand to the wolf (Check Condition)*

*DarKarath watches as the wolf goes to bite Dallid, then backs down Tensed up and ready for action, DarKarath sees Kidwynn and Atrum guarding flanks, and he stands guard as well, blocking whatever other passages any would be attackers could manifest from
"Atrum, ill make sure this way is secure, as long as i know you got my backside covered."
*DarKarath nods in Atrum's Direction

"Dallid would have sought to save you." Dallid speaks softly to the wolf, "But I would let happen what was meant to happen."
*He stands and returns to the others*
"The pack would appear to have accepted the loss of this one and moved on. Let us do the same."

Day 3
During the night, the howl of the wolves created a kind of dirge, as if they mourned their fallen comrade or lamented about their own possible fate. It was difficult to sleep with their loud but mournful song keeping everyone alerted. In the morning, the harsh, unforgiving rays of the sun forced the eyes of those lucky enough to have gotten a few hours of sleep open. The collective sigh of the group and the stretching and cracking of stiff muscles and joints called attention to the rough night and the shared misery of this suddenly long felt journey.
The group stopped for a rest and a bite of rations around midday, enjoyed the gentle breeze that cooled the sweat on their brow and underarms, was relieved by the opportunity to rest their weapons and shields and some perhaps even armor on the ground for a spell.
Within no time, they were back on their feet, completing their journey and in for a remarkable sight. The village that they were expecting, the village that was reportedly burnt to the ground many moons ago was lavishly rebuilt. Fifteen buildings in total of various sizes populated a large clearing and the neighboring woods. One home seemed to be built into the trees themselves and all of them were made in an unfamiliar material. Large windows were a staple of each home or building, though no building looked exactly alike. On the contrary, they were the epitome of originality in size and shape and dimension, unlike anything the group had seen before.
All that seemed to be missing were the people as no movement was seen and no sounds were heard, save for the lone whistling coming from the open window of the nearest home.
