*After a seemingly unending period of time, Claude finishes his preparations, takes his sword and shield from the weapons rack and heads out to see who has been assembled to search for worms, foul plague bearing creatures and whatever other nastiness threatens the citizens of Haven*

Phoenix Guard, Attention!!!

Capt. Targon, prepare your scouts and send them out. Then we need a head count.

*Claude watches as the scouts disappear into the countryside and waits for straglers to finish preparing their gear*

Alright men, I won't say this is a diplomatic mission but I will say we should be prepared to face unknown opposition. Supposedly some of these creatures appear as sickly beast-like men and carry an infectious disease. They are also prone to explode, spreading said disease. So if one drops, give it some space.

As for these "worms", my information is very sketchy. Supposedly they can be led to our fields and will render them fertile. This, obviously is a good thing.

Lambic, do you have any words of wisdom for us while we wait for our scouts to report?

"Sir, these sickly-beast men sound like things us Talons fought several times in the past. They are very agile and can hide well, they seemed to like to jump down on us from treetops. Other than that they seemed no harder to kill than most beasties around here, and yes they do explode with some sort of poisonus cloud."

Dereck runs out of the inn as fast as possible with his bag of medical supplies and medicinal herbs, knowing that he should be prepared for anything to happen, for if it can happen it will happen here. Seeing Captain Du Sinjin, Lambic, and Ian gathered Dereck slows his pace untill he catches up to the group

Claude, you may want to talk to Arthos, he should have a flute that may help you. If need be I can help with the worms as well, we have dealt with something similiar to what you describe in the past.

Keeps your heads down, eyes up, weapons at the ready. I you are marching in the middle of the group keep your eyes and ears open and directed upwards. Protect the healer because he maybe the only thing the gets us through this if our dead opponents attack us once they are fallen. Beyond that I have faith in my brothers' training. We will deal with each situation as we go.

I will speak with Atrum and Arthos quickly before we go.

To the best of my knowledge Donovan currently has the flute and is awaiting word from us so that it can be employed.

If you've in fact had dealings with any of these creatures your expertise would be appreciated. We're still waiting fro the scouts to find us a lead however, as opposed to wandering across Haven hoping to find something.

Wandering about always seems to lead to encounters that are rarely good or productive.

I have spoken too Atrum, Arthos and Donnovan. I believe we are as prepared as we can be, shall we be off?
