Disarming Traps

Post by Ian_McAllister »

Sorry probably a newbie question but I am just curious. If i am an advanced rogue and find a trap somewhere, do I physically have to disarm it myself, or is it considered disarmed once I notice it before setting it off.. and if so do I have to get an npc or Gm to note that it is disarmed?

I believe the idea is for you to disarm it yourself. Don't mess up. :)

My only question to that, is what if a non-rogue finds a trap and no one else is around, disarms it himself, and moves on.. no one the wiser?

As it says under traps they are to be fairly easy to disarm without damaging, which may make it easier for us not to quick fingered rougeish types, but also easier for quick fingeres non-rogues? Just a thought.

Very true but we decided as a team to not care about cheaters snce we will eventually catch them.

To police cheaters takes ALOT of time and energy. Lets say a person is walking in the woods and a trap goes off. The person replaces the trigger and no one is the wiser. Person never takes the damage.

Or a person was bleeding to death and actually 2 minutes has gone by but tells the healer they were 10 seonds from death.

Lots of ways to cheat and I am sure people fusge all the time
