Empath Update

Post by Onimaster »

Holy crap... That rocks. Thanks guys.

Two questions right off...

1. Can the Empath spend more than one LP into their lash attack to up the damage? Or do they need to spend them consecutively?

2. By magic resource do you mean the crystals, or is there another new resource besides 'stuff'?

You must spend them consequtively ..... note we as a Gm staff are on the fence with the lash attack, but felt you needed something. NOTE it might go away.

You trade 1 mystic in for 2 magic upkeep tags these will be used to upkeep magic weapons.

Well, I hope it stays then...

I like the way it rounds out the Path. Gives us something non-'magic' to call and is potent, but only up close where most empaths aren't gonna go, and it hampers use if allies are nearby...

Then you should probably mention that in the writeup as '2 magic lash'...

I will edit it thanks for finding that out.

Also note that transfer life no longer "buffs" a person. You can no longer go above their max LP's

Resurect
The empath can bring the dead back to life. This power can only be used on a person who has been dead for 30 minutes or less. It takes one hour to complete this spell and brings the person back to negative 20 life.(( The empath may use another person's life force in this spell by channeling the life force out of them and giving it to the dead person. For every point in negatives you bring the donor increase the recipients life by 1. ))To resurect a character the COMPLETE functioning body must be present. You cannot say resurect a leg.

Question: when using someone else's life points.. must you take them into negatives to increase the life total of the recepient? In this way killing one to bring back another.. or is this meant to mean for each LP you take out of one character you give to the dead one?

Nope you need to kill one to bring back another..balance must be maintained.

As a side note there is no way to bring back a person outside of using an empath even with potions and arcane you will see this shortly when we post spell changes

Hep dpesnt kill him just puts him to bleeding to death.

The bleeding to death doesnt happen until the very end of the spell so 1 minute to save them both.
