Malachi tilts his head to the side regarding Daine's question

"I suppose it's possible, but the mechanics of it are beyond my comprehension."

At Torren's response to Azra's question he turns towards Torren and Egren in confusion once more

"How long have you gentlemen been here, in this cabin?"

*Virgil and Gravin quikly enter the cabin and check outside one last time before they close the door*

"We didnt loose the elves as well as we thought, had Gravin not ben looking in the trees we would have been shot, i dont know whats going on or why but things are turning hostile fast, the sooner we leave the better."

It is again Egren who responds to Malachi. "Like I said. This is our home. We've been here for a very long time."

When Ark returns and mentions the presence of elves, more nervous glances are exchanged between the family members.

Robert: "We should take a moment to discus what we must do for we have a hard choice before us. Do we stay and defend these people? Do we leave and hope the elves follow, or if Egren wishes do they follow us and we all leave?"

Robert then looks to virgil and Gravin. "How many elves did you see?"

"The Elves likely have access to reinforcements. Should such arrive, escape may well become impossible. I suggest we leave now and make haste. All of us."

"I agree with Dallid. We should escape as quick as possible. The people who live in this cabin say they have lived here for a long time without any problems with the elves and I would hate for us to bring the elves down on their home. I think if the elves see us escaping then they'll forget about the people who live here. I think we're the ones they want.
We should leave now."

*Virgil nods at the leave now notion, then looks at Robert*

"Only one at first but eight more were in hiding, that seems to be a recuring patern, ony one is visible, the others in hiding waiting to pounce."

Brey walks up to Zeira

So what do you think Zeira? Do we stay here, and defend the cabin, or do we make our escape? I'm ready for either one. Just say the word.

Brey looks over to Egren, and his sons

Now is your chance to tell us whats really going on. Just last night your son's were spotted by our group not too far from our camp. Now you're here, and you say that you have no idea what we're talking about! We were ambushed right outside of you cabin, and you all seem like you're holding something back from us. How did you get ahead of us, and what do you know of these elves?

*Azra looks from Egren to Brey.*

I really don't think they have anything to explain to us. They seem just as confused as we are. Daine's theory seems to be the closest explination we have right now.

*She turns to Egren.*

I am terribly sorry for the burden we have brought upon you, but I do agree with Dallid. Our best choice is to flee right now, and if we all stick together, it may be our best chance.

*To Virgil and Gravin*

Your discovery may have just saved our lives.

Daniel has been completely silent, but finally speaks up in a near shout

"What Theory! What is going on!"

The tall one, heretofore silent, leans over to his father and says, "Perhaps we should tell them."

Egren rubs his chin with one of his hands, and says, "Perhaps we have no choice."

He goes to the other side of the room and from a small chest removes a thin, circular piece of steal. Although flat, at times it radiates colors:purple, blue, red, orange, green, and yellow, in no particular order. When lit, the colors make the object look spherical.

"We don't know what it is, but they buried it, right outside our cabin, in plain sight. They knew we were watcing. They must have, and when they left we took it. We've never seen anything like it, but it occurred to us that it might be worth something, somewhere, and they didn't seem to want it so no harm, right? But now they're back, and maybe they're back for this. So you leaving might not do anything, would it? Except guarantee our deaths."

*Virgil looks at the object and shrugs*

"Its out of my powers to figure stuff out, dont much like magic." he looks around. "I will be outside, dont like the idea of sitting in here while elves could be around us." he talks over his shoulder as he walks out the door. "We should just take them with us, It would be good to have Far Reach get bigger instead of smaller for a change."

Zeira looks at everyone in the cabin

"Alright, here's what we are going to do. Egren, you and your people are coming with us. We can't defend this cabin and it's not right to just leave you here to fend for yourself. If you want to stay that's your choice though. We can take the weird piece of metal and hope that's what they are after. We can compensate you later but it's important that the elves don't get that back whatever it is. And it's important that we find out what it does."

Zeira looks over at Torren

"If you know how it works it would be helpful if you told us now. I can figure it out given time but the problem with that is it takes time."

Zeira looks at the traveling group

"Whichever way the rest of us are leaving now. Everyone has one minute to decide what they are doing and then were running. Get ready."

Malachi takes a step forward towards Egren and the metal disk

"Hmm..."

"How long ago did they leave it here?"

Robert steps forward making a calming motion with his hands.

We have a little time, but yes we should not tally long.

Here are the tasks before us as I see them.

We have to help these people
We have 8 perhaps more elves out there. They have range and perhaps magic on their side.
We have to get to Haven and these elves cannot follow us there.

We cannot forget our mission or our duty to these people.
