Vaun's odd eyes narrowed slightly when Ug spoke, and her lips became a thin line. When he had finished, she simply stared at him wordlessly. A hundred scathing thoughts ran through her head, but once again the reminder that she was a stranger in a strange land asserted itself. She contented herself with a very simple answer to his comments.
"I see what Is, what has Been, and what might yet Be. When I decide to share that most secret of lore with others, or they seek it of me, it should not be taken lightly. If lesser men are fools and cowards, then that is fault of theirs, not of mine. I am born on the Storms of Fate, their servent and Mistress. A Mystic need fear not where it is I walk, only those who are not worthy." She shrugged.
The staggering Chauncy brought himself into her presence and she raised an eyebrow. "You are Valkin'vi?" She almost hissed the question. Her small and delicate hands balled up into fists, though she kept them in her lap. "If so, then you are a discrace to the Blood." Her tone was cold, emotionless. Her attention had been taken frm her matters with Artum, for this was of more vexation to her. After all... she was Vau'An'Dar... that meant she was half Valkin'vi.

Eli walks into the inn Sunday at 11:15, am
Atrum.... I was thinking that openign in the house a circle would be a bad idea... so I was thinking someplace w/ more people.. maybe.. the inn? DO you think I could open it here, just in case someone else came through???

There once was a man named Eli,
A man who claimed he could not die.
But one thing makes him wail:
That's when there is no ALE!
Thus his tale: with no beer, he will cry.
(The dark haired, green eyed mage child has faded into the past leaving behind one not quite an adult, but clearly no longer a child. The warrior-mage mixture that he has become can only be described as a survivor. )

nope I told Arthosis, I would open it on sunday.. yep I did. I'm sure.
so I gonna open it today, cause it's sunday. and it takes like half hour to cast such powerful spells.. so I was looking for a place now, to get started on it...
anyway I said I would cast it on sunday the 14th of the 11th month of the year what ever this year is... like 1054 or something, but who cares about all that. So.. can I cast the spell here, where there are peoples to protect it and all that?

NOTE:
Eli opens the circle everyday at the same time and place. He and Ug are taking turns trying to keep it open as long as they can, but it is a tasking effort to maintain the magic energy to keep it going...

Yes Eli you can cast your circle here as long as there aren't many villagers present, if there are we can move it to just outside and ask the villagers to stay inside. That way if something follows them through the villagers will not be directly in harms way.

Vaun's lavender eyes turned from the Valkin'vi to the 'elf, and her expression sofened a little. Almose she regreted her eariler coldness, for in sooth Ug had been one of the first in town to greet her, and had been willing to help her out not even knowing her. So she pondered for a moment ere she spoke.
"I would indeed thank you for whatever spells you might be willing to share, especially as I have none of my own to share with you. My book was burned by the ignorent villagers in the last place in which I resided when they decided I was a witch." She smiled almost viciously, then shrugged, resuming her normal neutrallity. "As it stands, I know nothing about your guild, and thus can make no decision on that account. Donovan Theynadar asked me to join his as well, and I returned unto him the same answer. I goin no orginization until I better know the folk in it, and they me. I can hardly be counded upon as consistent if I do not even take the time to ponder into what I am getting myself."
It was the most she had ever said to the 'elf' in one sitting, and she fell silent immediately after. Vaun regarded Ug levely, neither like nor dislike on her face. There was, however, a little curiousity in her eyes, which held him as she awaited his responce.

Such agreesive recruiting, I would think The Phoenix would like to know what they were getting into before asking someone to join their guild. I certainly like to know that if someone is supposed to have my back that they will. True that is why my associations are not as exrtensive as The Phoenix's, mayhaps I have the wrong of it and should just ask anyone that I can.

The Storm Elf smiled wryly. "I shall indeed keep it im mind, Ug, that I assure you. And should you need me, I am at the desposal of the town. However, I think that it is best that I simply accept your hospitality and make no vows for the time being. I yet need time to ponder the long term implications of any affiliations I might take up."
Vaun gave Artum an appraising look, her mind going back to their talk of a few months ago. Almost a smile crept upon her lips. "It is because you have not asked me that I am so inclined to do for you what I might," she said softly. "And the fact that though the bruises have healed, I still remember. A bond is a bond, Atrum Draconus."
She pulled out her cards now, finally getting to the matter for which she had even come in the first place. She met his strong gaze emotionlessly, remembering keenly what happened last time she did this. With so much on the line, Vaun was taking no chances.
"Pick a card, Atrum Draconus, and let us see if we can learn the fate of you friends."
