Buffs
Buffs,
the max buff a person have on them is +3 life & +3 armor. It does not matter the source. So if you get 3 life from an empath than a sage grants you +1 life, you are still at 3 life.

with the exception of th buff coming from a single source (ie single spell or potion). If there was a potion of +4 life, it would still be +4, but you could not recieve bonuses from other sources as you are already above the +3 cap.
Granted then you get into different types armor... argh!

Considering there is already a potion that grants +4 harden skin, it'd be silly for it to be max of +3
Also is swashbuckler common and priviledged or just common? Since witch hunter is different than the chart, thought I'd ask the question on swashbuckler too.

Swashbuckler is just common (to avoid the Swashbuckler-Knight swinging 2 vorpal)
Also, there are sources that can give you beyond the +3 but it is stated directly in said potion or Spell that it trumps the +3 cap. In other words, unless specifically stated, you can not be buffed beyond +3 armour and +3 Life
Example: The Toughness potion should state: When creating a level 4 toughness potion, the results of the potion may raise the imbiber's total life bonus to +4 but not beyond.
