Disenchant

Disenchant
Can magic items be disenchanted? IE temporarily shut down/destroyed/etc. If so would the item itself need to be touched or just oh let us say the person wearing the item?
Little confused on how it works. Is it by touch, spell packet...under witch-hunter is stated it can be surged through a weapon, is that correct?
Just want clarification so I know exactly how it all works.

Disenchant effects the target only and is considered crush. i.e. Surges thru weapon/sheild.
*it does NOT effect items someone may be carrying.
Certain items can be disenchanted assuming the item is targeted specifically. This is subject to Plot, and must be approved by a GM.
*note; If 'Dave' has an item that 'enchants' him (gives him a talisman) then at the time of 'disenchant' the talisman would be disenchanted, however the item would not be.

Either, but technically the weapon / fist is the only legal way. Obviously, in combat you need to use a legal device. Non-combat, the phys-rep is best but it's always been the unwritten rule that touching someone on the shoulder is ok too.
My posts in no way reflect that of anyone else nor are they in any way official.
Back to that train of thought about disenchant and magic items, cause it makes sense to me that a magic item should be able to be disenchanted.
Wouldn't it make sense if something is crafted and a spell put on it that it could be shut down for like 5 minutes, the GMs know what I'm talking about.
I would think following that train of thought that a magic item could be disenchanted for 5 minutes. After that point in time it would go back into effect.
Anyway, that's just my thought on the matter.
