Friday, 17 Feb 2006: Craic Wisely @ The Black Rose in G.R.

Post by Donovan Thynedar »

Just so there's one more thing to do this weekend, Craic Wisely is playing at the Black Rose in Grand Rapids on Friday night.

The last time we got people together for our Craic addiction, everyone seemed to have a great time. The only stickler was that we couldn't get seats up by the band. This time we have the opportunity to change that.

I'd be interested in making reservations and grabbing some food there before the show. Be warned, the place is upscale/trendy and sort of expensive, but not everyone that attends early needs to do a full dinner either. If there's interest I plan on reserving either the large booth or table near the band (both, if necessary) no later than Wednesday. There were thirteen of us last time, and the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.

For the record, the Black Rose is 21+ only and charges a $3.00 cover after 9:30. Being there for dinner gets around the cover, but not the age limit.

I thought someone said that they'd be in Muskegon on St Patty's day and I know they said they'd be playing at the Black Rose on St. Patty's eve..

Explain..

They will be in Muskegon on St. Patrick's Day. St. Patrick's Day is March 17th. The show I'm talking about here is Febuary 17th, or this Friday.

I just remembered to post for the show this friday, so Thanks to Taki for remembering to do it for me. (See, I knew you were really part Irish!!)
If you all no longer want to rely on me or Taki, you can go to their web-page and feed your own Criac addiction.

Ohhh.. okay. I think I was anxious to go again and figured that I wouldn't be seeing them till St. Patty's day and my mind assumed March when reading Febuary. Ha!

Count me in! Now I just gotta convince the boy that we're going.

Can anyone give me more details on their Muskegon performance?

OK folks. I have an 8:30pm reservation for eight people in front of the band. If we need more than that, the sooner I know about it the better. As of this moment, people who have expressed an interest in going are:

Taki
Art
Jim
Angie and "the boy"
Frank & Susan
Wes & Nikki (Babysitter?)

I'll keep this updated as things develop.

Yes the West Shore Symphony Orchestra (WSSO) is also performing those nights with a band called Mithril. They will begin their performance at 8PM and will probably end around 10PM, ie its in the middle of the party. Prices range I believe from $12 - 35, you were probably being offered seats in the $24 range, but I don't have the sheet in front of me and there are 5 different price sections and 3 different prices per sections and 2 different schemes (pops and classical). Also as a side note Civic Theater will have a performance of Blithe Spirit both nights ($17 for adults, $15 for under 18) both nights too.
