2016 To Do List

Happy New Year!
Most of us have taken a much needed break for the holidays, recharging if you will and we're gearing up to get back to work. Obviously we have some things to work on. As I enter my 14th year of running the game, I know things can always be better and never is more tweaking needed than the year following a reworking of the rules. Last year provided a lot of feedback and playtesting opportunities. Hopefully we've learned some things. Below is a short list of things on our to-do list for this year. It's just a starting point but before we get too far along, I would welcome what things you would put on our to-do list--what things do you want to make sure we take a close look at for this coming year.
1. Magic. Yep, we knew we would be here when we were in discussions last year. We wanted to make changes but honestly, the only way to know for sure what works is to try it out. I really disliked the old system. I may have been the only one but I REALLY disliked it for a variety of reasons that I won't get into now. The current system is not where we want it to be, though I will say for the record that I don't think it's as bad as some believe. That said, we are listening and will continue to listen and continue to solicit feedback and continue to discuss this area of the game.
2. 2nd level discipline swap out skills. I would like to look at these again to make sure what's there makes sense and if any new ideas have surfaced over the year.
3. Previously Overlooked Skill Interactions. This is where that whole channel/skill mastery thing would fall. I'm short on time but I believe there are a few other examples
4. Valkyn'Vi. We can do better
5. Shields. Nuff said.
6.. Forum Etiquette. We are working on establishing a written document that will outline what we expect when using our forums and the consequences for not following the rules. For some, I expect this document to be your final warning prior to being excluded from the forums going forward.
What else you got? Feel free to pile on
