*As the evening winds down, the watches are set for the evening and most head towards the campfire for slumber. The nights are growing predictably more cooler as the fall season turns to winter and the group travels north at a steady pace.*

*Lambic, Claude and Donovan are sitting strategically near the fire on their watch late into the evening, speaking in low tones sporadically to wile away the time, when suddenly an extremely cold gust of wind whips through the campsite. The trees ache and moan as the wind wrestles their limbs and a very eerie silence follows.*

*Donovan pulls his cloak tight around him as the wind blows through the clearing, his muscles tensing against the cold. When the wind settles, his eyes flash around the campsite as the silence brings a visibly different kind of tension. He catches Claude's eyes and inclines his head slightly in the direction of the wind.*

*Fixing his gaze directly on Lambic, Donovan looks him in the eye and then looks slowly at the ground at their feet. His eyes then sweep their sleeping companions and he gives a slight nod. Loosening Lightstorm in its sheath, Donovan glances in the direction the wind came from, looks around the area, and begins moving toward the edge of the campsite.*

*Shivering against the gale Claude watches as Donovans gaze looks to himself and Lambic. Watching as his companions begin to move, he stands, placing his shield between himself and the ill wind, his sword unsheathed behind it. Flanking Donovan and moving into the wind he begins to search the night moving towards the outskirts of the encampment.*

*Kels jumps up from where he was sleeping when the wind hit him bow drawn arrow nocked scaning around the camp*

*Donovan raises an eyebrow when Kels leaps from the ground, then shows a slight smile and immediately signals for him to take the flank opposite Claude.*

**Lambic takes a quick swig from his flask and loosens his own sword. He gets a grimace on his face that reads as either, I hope I am doing what he wants me too or that damn cured meat gives me gas. Lambic then proceeds to crawl around the fire, gently wake each person and signaling to each of them as the awaken with his hands.

First he puts his lips, then motion with both hands palms down pushing towards the ground. Next he points at them and partial draws his weapon. Lastly he points at them and points at the ground.**

**As Kels jumps up, Lambic gives him as "Shhhhh!"**

*As Lambic softly wakes Seth he slowly draws his blade and straps on his sheild to follow after Donovan and the others.*

*Deep in his meditative sleep, Donmayo opens his eyes at once when hit with the strangly gust of wind, but does not move until he is tapped by those awakening the sleeping companions. Slowly he raise his staff to prepair for some vile magical assult...

*Kels slowly walks over to Claude ready to losse an arrow not makeing a sound*

*The eerie silence surrounding the group continues as a stillness settles in around the group. No usual animal sounds or leaves rustling in the wind can be heard. The only sound evident is the sound of Lambic and Kels moving around... the sounds of the two are amplified by the lack of sound in the woods around the group, nearly echoing in each person's ears.*

*When Kels realizes he and Lambic are makeing the only noise he stops moveing and gives a hand signal to Lambic to stop as well*

*As the group quiets even more the only sound that can be heard to each is their own breathing. After a minute or so of perfect silence a large crashing sound rumbles in the far off distance, followed by a few more crashing sounds of less intensity.*

Sits up suddenly and begins scambling into his armor as quickly as possible

"By Dahgda, I be ahearin' that before, but I canna place where it be."

*Midnight lays motionless in her bed, pretending to sleep, but with bow ready*
