the night is nigh at an end, there's maybe an hour and a half before the sun comes up,off in the distance, with the walls of castle gravesbane just coming into view, there on the side of the road lay the corpse of ulfgar silverbrow.
then piercing the morning silence three sharp cracks akin to the snapping of a large tree branch each with proceeding flashes of green, red and yellow as now stood in front of the dead dwarf three figures hooded and cloaked in robes as black as the fading night, two of the hooded figures immediately, one picked up shadowbane, ulfgars great axe and the other yanked off the ulfgar's cross pendant he wore around his neck. third figure walked slowly toward ulfgar and raised a sickly hand as it began to glow with an emerald green. from ulfgars chest, a green orb emerged and floated to the figures hand and it sank in as the figure brought his hand down.
"his armor is missing inquisitor, shall we be taking his body?" hissed one of the smaller figures that held shadowbane
"leave him, he is no longer our concern, we shall find it in due time stalker " replied the other figure. it was getting lighter as they spoke and the sun was barely starting to creep above the horizon as the cloaked figures vanished in a flash of light and three other loud cracks.
