Hey I was looking into getting a game called Heroscape, it looks similar to a D&D board game my dad played a while back and was just wondering if anyone here knows if its any good...

Thought this would be the right crowd to ask...

I didnt like HeroScape that much. I thought it was a poor imitation of the Wizkids "Hero Click" system.

The reason that Heroscape looks and feel like Heroclix is because Hasbro is the parent company of both games. The molds used for the Marvel edition of 'scape are identical to heroclix molds. I imagine the rules are similar, just dumbed down for mass consumption.

Although it was also similar to Heroclix, I liked Heroquest better than any other roleplaying-like minis game.

I Loved Heroquest. That game needs to be re-printed. I used to like Talisman as well. It has been re-printed recently

You people scare me, if I weren't already older than most of you I might be afraid that knowing multiple mini rp games was in my future. :P Whats funny faux paux not funny haha, is that I just pulled out all of the Heroclix I got from Dave and put them out in my rearraged room.

I've played Talisman too. I stopped playing when there got to being too many game boards for the game at one time. I use to play Heroclix as well. My favorite Heroclix figure is still Nightcrawler, disappearing and reappearing on the same stand. I guess he'll remain my favorite character in comics.

Edit: A fairly new board game that is similar to Talisman that I found I really like is Runescape.

Edit: Heroquest was the first time I'd actually taken on the roleplaying aspects of the dwarf character and dragged the wimpy wizard through the dungeon. All the wy to the end where I took most of the treasures. *He barely casted one spell unless I yelled at him to do it. A rare event that is, me yelling.*

Damn straight. I have Battle Master and Heroquest. I got started playing War Hammer 40,000 about 12 years ago (yes, and I'm only 25).

Now I play a new Sci-fi game called AT-43, by Rackham. It's prepainted, which is both good and bad. I love to paint, but not 35 identical models. Pretty awesome game, I've been trying to get Leif and Brett to play it.

My friend and I are also modding the Halo clicky game(by the same guys that did heroclix) to be more of a large-scale battle game, instead of a deathmatch game.

Hell, my liscense plate even reads "WH 40k".

Is this anything like Hero quest or War hammer? I am basically asking is this a good and easy way to start this type of gaming? Hell it says its for kids it better be easy...
