Are there any PCs in game right now that are from other worlds? Is that a generally accepted character history or is that forbidden?

Yep, lots of wierd worlds out there... Some of them produce really 'odd' characters... that are very shiny.

Characters from other "worlds" are all over Final Haven as PCs, HOWEVER... write up your history and get it approved by the GMs before you begin playing (even online), or feel their wrath!
You still are mechanically limited to the rules though, so keep that in mind. Even if the GMs let a history go through that says you were a dragon tamer for some great king, and an awesome warrior... you're still coming in at 0-level (unless you have saved levels) and gotta play by all of the normal rules.

I still like the CARPs rules for histories :)

You are not a king.
You are not related to a king.
You did not save the life of a king.
You did not kill a king.
You have never even met a king.
You are not a dragon.
You are not related to a dragon.
You did not save the life of a dragon.
You did not kill a dragon.
You have never even met a dragon.
You do not have an evil twin.
You are not an evil twin.
You are not the last of your race.
You are not destined to save your race.
You are not the one member of your race that acts totally different from every other member of your race. (Drizzt wanna-bes, this means you.)

I'd have to take it that the last one wasn't completely literal. If everyone of every race were to act exactly the same. This would be one boring game.

Edit: I read that really fast and then typed even faster. Comprehension came later. "Totally different" Yep. Though I do have to admit that I like seeing an oddball character every now and again.

No you don't those rules don't apply in FH, there are former rulers, children of rulers, dragon touched, an orc that was raised by elves. Thats actually one of the things I really like about FH, your backstory isn't limited to a nobody that decided to go out adventuring and your race doesn't have to limit how you act.

I realize that, I was attempting to be amusing. Seeing as how I play (in WH) the first hand maiden to a Queen of a far distant land, who is a Ga'vin in a highly socialized society, who gets along great with elves and dwarves I'd be breaking several CARPS rules......

YAY!!
