I'm only here for a minute, but I wanted to pop in and say that I had a lot of fun this weekend. Most everyone else I expect is still at Harry Potter in Lansing.

I had a lot of fun getting my butt whooped this weekend. I feel like I have been bruised over most the surface of my body. The Giant was a lot of fun, as was Seth's Grandpa.

I have to offer a shout out to Cj and Leif the new guys, who did very well.

Well, peace out... for now.

I had an excellent time this one as well. Friday seemed a little slow getting started and I layed down just about when plots started rolling in it seemed. Ah well. I'm just bummed I missed the gear plot. Sounded like fun.

Plot wise, dumb luck was apparently on our side this weekend as Mike's plots baffled for us way too long. Gotta make a mental note to always look at all the clues and items myself if I'm working on one. And I never want to hear the work 'crumble' again. :) The number of ways we ended up at 9 was kinda eerie on the orb cave too. I also enjoyed the constant minor enemies attacking us during that cave. It was a pain, but it gave us warriors a job while the sages could do the puzzle solving. Definitely gave a distinction to classes, and added to the challenge. I'd suggest adding this in more for future caves.

Beyond that, I enjoyed the dark elf cave for just fun hack and slash. It was really what I needed for Saturday morning.

Final Haven Pics - July 2007 Event

You're gonna have to wait for the videos. The borrowed wifi just ain't gonna cut uploading those!

Also take the time on a few to click the "See All Sizes" that will give a much larger version of the pic (not recomended for those on dial-up) which can make it better (or worse). A couple I threw in even though they were blurry because I liked the subject and thought it was worth sharing. And yes there are alot with my son in the them...so sue me (not you Soco!).

If by chance I did not get them all added to the Final Haven group, I will fix that later. Also I will map them later, again this is a wifi issue.

Overall another fun event. Like Ka said, I never want to hear the word crumble again!

The good sides, I enjoyed the cave fighting this event, was a blast to be able to help the sages and other squisheys out by being the meat shield.
Having my two buddies come and have a blast was a great thing too, and to see then fit in so well and roleplay great with everyone was awesome as well, Thanks CJ and Leif for staying incharacter as well as you did and immursing yourselfs fully into our little world

The Bad Sides: Only real bad side I felt was the slow start on friday night, but once it got rolling it was near non-stop! The mutated sea-bass was fun and damn near wiped us out, then going directly from that to the sylvanni's plight, right into the cave to recover the key before the elves definitly kept me going, but as soon as that was done being able to crash was nice!

Thanks to everyone for making a Stressful week melt away and allowing me to relax and have fun!

I had a great time. Everyone always make sure to tell sen how much they like his food no matter how burnt or soggy it really is. *LOL* I never feel unwanted.

I really enjoyed both of Brett's new guy buddies and hope to see more of them. I liked the roleplaying with the eleves very subtle manipulations, and Havens tough approach to it. The deal with the gates was amusing as well.

I found it amusing that Ingram got dragged onto a plot by accident cause the group forgot they needed an empath. that was kind of funny.

I greatly enjoyed Mike's slow elf giving messages. that was amusing as well.

And I really liked NPCing alot. I got to see a slightly different world view.

I don't like this camp that much, and the kitchen leaves alot to be desired. there was WAY TOO MUCH traffic, more than I have ever seen. Atrum put it best when he said that he wants the palmer lodge moved to a different location. the lodge rules, the concrete sucks.

All in all I had a great time, and felt really rewarded at the end.

I forgot a yellow water jug it was on top of the refrigerator. Did anyone grab it? I like the 4 levels of hell thing, and the puzzle we solve by sheer dum luck. I love my character history coming in to game. What can I say other then the people traffic I love this weekend like always. Grate Job ever one.

I had a ton of fun, some of the things that INFURIATED Atrum made Erik happy!

Seeing the first light of morning 2 days in a row at a LARP hasn't happened for me in a long time, I loved it!

I got to go on 2 of the best RP only plots I've been on in years. Although 1 did have some fighting on the first leg of it.

Great job by the PC's and the NPC's.

Did anyone grab the Lady's yellow Jug? Now I feel guilty, she brought that for me.

Unfortunately no. I asked about it and people thought it was the camp's so I left it. Sorry about that.

"Crumble"

*Shivers*

I had an AWSOME time at the event. I guess thanks to Erik and Vince who kept me wondering if I was coming and going due to all the plots I was on.

Friday was slow, but if you were one of the crazy folks who stayed up late, the fun was just bam bam bam.

Famous last words "There're just fish, they aren't going to be to difficult". Man if we would have all gone down to fish it would have been like a Blackthorne and the mosquito kind of thing...embarassing.

Thanks Travis for that moment during the giant battle I was like..umm wait 30 bomb..no resist...wait wrong character...one downed Kidwynn.

I'm sore today. Think after I leave Comcast I'm going to bed tonight.

It was great, had a ton of fun...can't wait for September.

PS:

To all those that went to Harry Potter, it was FUN. It so sucked leaving after the movie for I wanted to stay longer and just have fun. You all rock!!!

:D

You can't give either one of us credit for our agenda of unfinished stuff going from 1 page to 3 this weekend. Thats all the GMs.

True but I do appreciate you both putting me to work.

All pain and soreness I have is because of you guys and well I love it...

Oh, two other things I loved.

1. The dark elf cave. I may have been a little behind the group, but I caught up and had some SUPER fun!!

2. The smile on Atrum's face when I came booking down the hill against the barbarians....

PRICELESS.

:D

I had a lot of fun this weekend playing combat NPC after combat NPC- I don't think I've ever gotten that much fighting into one weekend. I didn't get to RP too much, though it did seem I was the body of choice to capture for interrogation. Hope everyone had as much fun fighting me as I did them.

I personally had a blast and hope I can make the next one.

Thanks everyone for a great event. Hearing Julie wade into the dark elf cave was awesome, and I loved the combat/puzzle mix. Having Reid there for almost the whole time (finally :) ) was great as well. Some tense RP situations were great, and I liked having the first couple hours basically free to really get some of that stuff delved into. Saturday was constant, my legs were tired on Sunday from the traveling and Gavin NPC action and my brain was tired from puzzle action!

Temple, are you sure we only have 3 pages of unfinished plots? That seems a bit light. :)

I had a good time. Lots of great roleplaying from the new/newer folks which is always awesome. Mad props to the giant hammer-wielding guthrie and the Valkin'vi archer.

There are a few folks, PCs and NPCs I would have liked to have a chance to talk/roleplay with a little more (You know who you are), but I still walked out of this event feeling interested and curious rather than frustrated.

Just a few particularly entertaining moments:

Atrius in the hell-cave thing just about to wack me with a five vorpal thinking I was a slug. Your face (and I am sure mine) as you pulled your blow back JUST in time was priceless.

Delayne, Quen and Ingram in their pallets discussing some deep philosophical issues while folks were probably trying to sleep.

Watching the pirates and Lady Rosemund getting drunk and sparring in the lodge.

Roleplaying with some particular PCs. You know who you are ;)
