Hey Folks,

Thought I would drop in the Battle of the Celtic Bands. I know that Criac Wisely is playing in the April 30th show. So I thought I would drop in and leave the web site with all the intell for you folks. So come out and support your local Mid-Michigan Celtic bands. Plus the winner is open for Styx at the Ionia free Fair.

Later shane

At the bottom of the bands page it also says that there will be special pricing for "SCA" and "Ren" groups, maybe thats something that could be looked into.

We'd like to attend this (me and mine 4 total I think) has anyone looked into this "pricing"???? We can dress in period garb no problem.

Ok Craic Heads, listen up. I got this message in my mail and I can't help but think that those of us who've been showing up to support Craic Wisely are not only being praised but being asked to help the band. Here it is:

Craic Wisely's turn in the preliminary round of the Battle of the Celtic Bands is this Sunday at the Ionia Theatre. For full information on the event, please visit the official website:

http://mysite.verizon.net/resojwaz/celt ... fthebands/
(includes maps to the venue)

We're playing third, which means if you're planning to come out and support us (and we hope you are), we suggest getting there around the event's scheduled start time of 2:30.

We're fully planning on rocking out the best 25 minutes that we are capable of, but your presence is greatly coveted: we feed off of you, and we're sure that the judges will be as impressed with our great fans as much as they are with us. So come out to Ionia this Sunday, and show everyone present which Irish band has the best fans (Oh, and plays pretty great music as well).

See you there.

Slainte,
Todd, Dave, Jonathan, Tim and Mike

With that, I think I'm gonna hafta try to get over there. Who all is currently going and who else is interested?

I'll be recovering from a party the night before, but I'm going to try to come out.

Me too, but I highly doubt I'll be in garb unless we are getting that ren discount for it.

I just realized that this could be a HUGE marketing opportunity for both FH and CARPS seeing as they both are played in Ionia recruiting in the area would be a great idea and unless they have a Ren Faire I can't think of a better place to do it.

Definitley planning on it, but I wasn't planning on going in garb but if something could be arranged in the next few hours here or maybe Sat day that could change and if it were going to be a concerted effort at marketing then I'd be all too happy to help out.
