Something in the Kitchen with Din'ah

The sound of bang coming from the tiny kitchen of the inn was loud enough to wake the dead. There was a cacophony of pots banging together, birds squaking and the sound of semi-rhythmic banging. From outside the Inn, Sen'Za'Rien, Sen to those who knew him, could be seen gathering pots and pans from his little cart. So far he'd loaded several huge cauldron like pots, a birdcage, and an array of knives that would make a butcher blush. He also carried with him several old leather pouches that he treated very carefully, as though they contained the world's most delicate flower.
Once he was finished, the kitchen noises dulled down to the occasional sound of ravens, and banging that cames with the peeling of tubers. Rhythmic tapping of sharp knives and scraping of flesh against a crate. The birds screeched along in their strange sing-son voice.
Soon a smell wafted out of the kitchen, and permeated through the Inn. It was the crisp smell of cooked flesh ,sweet hickory smoke, and the eclectic scent of rare herbs and spices from lands far away. Tongues watered at the lingering odor of Sen's Secret Stew.
Sen stepped out of the kitchen, carrying one of the cauldron-like pots out to one of the two fireplaces the Inn held. With a metal hook he set the pots over the fire, letting them boil. Huge metal lits covered the stew, but every few minutes, the lids bounced under press from the cooking contents. They seemed to be almost defiantly exposing their cooked contents to the world. They revealed a tanged mass of brown liquid, in which golden tubers, orange carrots, large chucks of red meat and a motley assortment of other items boiled. The stew smelled perfect, as though it were thickly spiced with curry and cumin.
From the kitchen, the smell of fresh elven flat bread wafted, each and every time the door opened but a crack. There was a loud sound of crunching and then the sudden silence of the ravens as Sen fed them from his leather feed bag. The ravens feasted, while Sen worked on setting up a small fire just outside the kitchen door. He worked up a large fire, and tossed in special pieces of Gav'in treated wood to flavor the meat that would be cooked over the roaring fire. Over this fire, Sen laid two metal poles with pheasants on them. He set them carefully over the fire to cook.
In the Kitchen, he started to make a large pot of spiced Tea. The Valkyn'Vi wasted no time in setting the tea leaves into a stone jug and setting it on the window sill. There was food to make. And things to do.
