attention all former band members

Hey all,
I thought perhaps you might be a good crowd to ask about this. As most of you know, I am a band director and in a district with many students whose families are very low income. One of the challenges I face is that many of my student's families cannot afford to buy or rent an instrument for their child to be in band. My own instrument supplies are very low and on average the school instruments are around 40 years old, and as you can imagine not in very good shape.
If you have an old band instrument that you no longer use and would care to donate, please let me know, I can write a receipt for the value of the instrument that you can then write off as a charitable donation on your taxes!
