Seeking the Threatened Families

Haybert, it would seem your family is in greater danger. Lead us to them, if you will.

*Curufin moves to front right of the group. Watching for anything.*

"At least it's light out, my eye sight is much better during the day. It wont be easy for anyone or anything to get the drop on us."

*Pulls Dallid off to the side and describes where Argyle's family is*

That should be good directions for ya. I shall try to meet up with you all later.

*Azara head back to the Inn*

My thanks, but I think we should find Haybert's family first, as Bear is most certainly angry with him. Argyle's disappearance may yet to be discovered.

*Assuming Haybert gives directions, Dallid heads that way*

by Bob-Z (kabre)
<assuming the only members in this little band are Curfin, Dallid, Kabre, Argyle, and Haybert -- given nobody else said otherwise.. Can we verify this is the case?>

*Kabre follows whatever lead Dallid takes*

"If anyone notices anything out of the ordinary please stop and allow Curufin and I to clear the area before continuing. Dallid, whatever you need us to do, please let us know."

*Ahead Atrum is walking toward the Inn as the group is headed for the village, he is wiping the tip of his short sword with a couple of leaves. He stands and waits for the group regarding all with a smile*

Has Donovan been rescued?

*to Atrum*

"Yes, Donovan is back. But with him came a whole set of questions to be answered. Will you be assisting us?"

Arthos

* As Arthos heads up to the Guild Hall as he passes Atrum*

Hey Atrum, what ever happened to the merchant that came into town?
Now that I have some time I want to look at his goods and maybe buy some.

Have you seen him around or know which direction he might have gone?

*Ka is presumably with the group getting the families*

*Looks over his shoulder then to Arthos*
Probably back there somewhere, crawling back to his men. Or he could still be laying where I left him. His men are at the west edge of the town though, I'm sure he'll show up there eventually.

*To Curufin*
Good Good I am glad that your captain and our constable is safe. I trust everyone else is safe and sound also. Yes I will lend my aid, what is your current endeavor? You seem to be headed toward the village.

*Looking the gaurd and the sweeper up and down*
Are you escorting these gentlemen back to the village? Were they captives?

If someone could fill me in I would be very thankful.

*While walking*

These men were forced into servitude by the Druid - who goes by the name "Bear". Bear holds the well-being of their families dependent to their service. Now that they have escaped the Druid, we seek their families to secure their safety.

*while walking, turns to Atrum.*

"It's good to have you aboard."

*To everyone*

"We should quicken our pace. Bear should now know what has happened, if indeed the cave in was not his design. My guess is, his retribution will be swift, and we don't won’t to get there late."

*While moving, Curufin (and probably Dallid) fill Atrum in more about what has happened from the time of entering the tunnels to the present. (i.e. about the cave in, the potion, Donovan’s escape, the encounters with the beetles, and the meeting of the sweeper.)

Haybert appears concerned ever since it was mentioned he and his family were in greatest danger. He gives good directions and he, along with Argyle, huddle near the middle of the group throughout the journey. The trip itself is uneventful, which is a great relief after the past couple days, but with growing dread as you approach the old farm house, everyone, especially Haybert, becomes all too aware of the silent, too silent, Sunday afternoon.

*softly*

Does anyone else feel like we are too late, or that we are about to walk into a trap? This is what I propose, Ka and I will check out the front door. Kabre, you cover us with your bow. Dallid, you and Atrum guard Haybert and Argyle. Should this be a trap, we all don't want to fall pray to it. But, be ready if we call for help."

*Waits for any other suggestions*

"Haybert, is there anything you can tell us about the house that might help?"
