OOG: Is this just Arthos and Atrum and Robin? Simply curious who is on what. Will begin this no later than Friday.

*looks around* Yup, I think it's just the three of us. *smiles with confidence... or stupidity, not sure which*

Thank you my friend

Robin joined the two, as ready as she could be for the task at hand. She too listened to Atrum, for she too had missed much of Latham's tale. When all was said she nodded. "Well... we're off to the North, then, eh?"

Neither Arthos nor Atrum seem to respond to Robin when she speaks such foolhearty nonsense. Instead, they begin the trek in a distinctly southern direction and she sheepishly follows. Still well within the woodsy perimeter of Haven, a strange rustling noise can be heard all around them. Suddenly on guard, the three travelers scan the woods in all directions and see nothing moving, but the noises continue, growing louder until a small crack in the snowy ground reveals a trickle of water squirting out of the ground.
The snow itself begins to melt as more and more water begins shooting out of the ground at a larger and faster rate. So uncanny is the display as the ground begins to sink slightly that Robin thinks almost triumphantly, Perhaps we should have traveled North afterall!

*Atrum quickly scans the area and notices that the water seems to not be coming through the snow a few steps forward.*
Forward, quickly!
*moves past where the stream is forming*

Robin looked from Arthos to Artum and back. "This is so NOT normal, mates. I know we need to get that piece, but we can't just leave a spontaniously forming creek alone." She sighed. "Five to one this also has something to do with places and things moving around Haven..." She grinned. "This very creek could have moved for all we know."

*Arthos follows Atrum across the new forming creek and turns back to Robin*
There is nothing we can do about the creek as of now. The artifact is more important than a new creek. Not to mention a new creek could help water the fields. When we get back we can keep a close eye on it. For now there is not much we can do.

*Atrum nods as Arthos finishes speaking and looks to Robin*
I would agree with that, these artifacts are extremely important. Besides McEwan and some of your other men are currently investigating the strange happenings.
*Smiles*
You know you're gonna catch cold if you stay in there much longer.
*extends a hand to help*

Robin assumingly gets out of the creek eventually and the three continue on their way, hoping that the Cave of Sorrows remains to the South. They walk at as brisk a pace as they feel comfortable, all the while taking in the changes of terrain that continue to populate the area. About three-quarters of the way, given Latham's time and distance estimates, a strange smell finds its way to their noses. Looking all over for the source of the smell, their eyes eventually land upon a hand, covered in mud and filth sticking out of the ground, holding onto a stick about five feet long. The hand doesn't move at all, but rather seems frozen in position.

Robin's eyes widened slightly and she shook her head. "Poor bastard," she muttered at the sight of the hand. She assumed that the rest of the body was burried under the mud, though they would have to dig it up to know for sure. However, her keep Rogue's attention was not focused upon the staff in the hand, looking for any kind of recognizablescript or identifier. She was only a novice sage, but even that she felt should help her somewhat.
"Any ideas, fellas?" She asked.

*Arthos bends down and checks for a pulse and to see if the arm is attached to a body*

*Atrum looks over the piece of wood (spot)*
I have no idea Robin, maybe the shifting has done this.
Arthos, is this person alive? and can you tell if they have been affected by magic?
