I'm guessing this must be Bear's sister?

[Dallid]

I suspect this is Pabbi.

Arthos, can you disable her?

[Nelkie]

*Arthos nodes towards Dallid and studies the bear for a couple moments. Arthos moves quickly around the bear and waits until it's attention is else where and than touchs a nerve cluster at the base of its neck putting the bear to sleep (Nerve Pinch). If all works well arthos searchs the body for runes (arcane level 1) and uses detect magic.

[GM-Mike]

The bear's attention is never elsewhere. Its eyes and head if necessary follow you as you maneuver around it. When Arthos approaches, it rises up on its hind legs standing tall and growling and if you get too close, it swats at you and you feel pain...

[Dallid]

*Approaches the bear from the side opposite Arthos.*

HO THERE! LOOK UPON ME!

[GM-Mike]

The bear, clearly startled by Dallid's yells, bolts away from the party. It comes to rest about fifty yards away, circles around, stares at you, and is clearly agitated.

[Nelkie]

*If possible when the bear becomes stareled and runs off, Athos will try to nerve pinch the bear. The old distract and hit tactic.*

[GM-Mike]

While a sound tactic, the bear proves to be more agile that it looks. Running away from you, it slips past Arthos' outstretched arms, coming to rest several yards away.

As you regroup, trying to formulate a plan to outsmart this ferocious animal, it collapses and begins to seize. As it shakes, it howls in pain and while you watch, the hair begins to recede, the body begins to shrink and reform and moments later in front of your eyes lies a naked young lady. It is indeed Pabbi just as you remember her...minus the clothes that is.

She lie unmoving...

*Kathryn takes off her cloak and covers Pabbi*

[Dallid]

*Checks condition*

[GM-Mike]

With the exception of being unconscious, there does not appear to be anything physically wrong with her.

[Dallid]

*Awaken*

You are with friends now. Please tell us: What is the last thing you remember?

[GM-Mike]

Pabbi opens her eyes and gasps in fright, but quickly she gets herself under control. After a few moments, the scene seems to process in her mind and Dallid's words finally register. "I remember you all circling me, threatening me...I tried to yell, to tell you it was me, but I could no longer speak. Before that, I remember talking to Thail and being whisked away by a plan, its thorny arms entangling my legs. I remember the feel of the cold, unforgiving ground against my back and head. Darkness then until I remember Thail talking to me, telling me he was close. And then this smirk and I was so afraid. He told me not to worry, that he would make it brief and then he was rambling about something I didn't understand, I couldn't follow him, he was talking about how he didn't have to, that he understood now what was missing but he would for me because he liked me...or something. I tried to move but couldn't and I didn't understand that either, I just couldn't think. And then this great light, coming from around or perhaps from within Thail and I was so scared. And then he was smiling and yelling that it worked, it worked. Then more light and that was all until that scout came out this way and then, well, all of you. Thank-you for coming."

[Dallid]

So Thail is Bear, and he has achieved his goal. Pabbi is changed - though currently human - and may need help, but Thail would seem a greater priority. I imagine he will return for his family. We must make haste back to the Guild Hall!

[Nelkie]

*Arthos to turns to Dallid as he picks up Pabbi*

I agree, lets make haste back to the guild of light
