*neshca eye narrow a bit, he grits his teeth, and looks at McEwan.*
"I am sorry brother, but I need to you stick you tongue out. He wishs to see ship justice so be it. But do not hold this against myself. You know it is my fault for not making you stop. An it is my place to set things right. You spoke the truth an I agree with you. Heck I even think you are in the right for what you said. So this pains me to do this. Please forgive me for what I am gone to do.
*As Neshca walks toward McEwan with knife in hand, he looks toward the fire pit. He drop's Corbyn knife a his feet, and grabs a red hot stick. Walks over to McEwan, and lays it upon his tongue. He grips McEwan shoulder tightly and hold the hot stick for good long while. Tears running down his face, he than turns to face Corbyns back. He marchs up to him grip a hold of his should wheels him around and hands him the cold stick now.*
"There you go there is your bloody justice. An now here is the only words I have to you. Do not think hell forgive me for this. Do not think he is gone to forgive you. Because he is not ever ever gone to forgive nor fotget this day. Nor shall I forget this day either. It is the day I deformed my oldest and best friend for a code of honor. Because somefolks can not stand by there own laws, even in other lands. "
*At that point he pulls free the medalon on around his neck. Pick up corbyn knife cuts his hand. Than squeeze the medalon in his bloody hand, as he hands it over to Corbyn.*
"There you go chap you got her all to yourself now!"
*He looks around at McEwan, and for Jason, and the new guy. Than walks away form the Haven town folks.*
"Come on McEwan let go have Jason take a look at. So it does not get the rot like Tarns did."

And what is he greatly thought , he nobly dared.

*Donovan blinks twice, glances at the ground at his feet, and slowly exhales. When he raises his head, there is a sad smile on his face.*
"Yes. Kill Donovan. He is a murderer. He is a killer who drinks from a man's empty head. Kill him where he stands, or perhaps in his sleep, or let him perish on the battlefield should he fall, but by all means be rid of him. Then, perhaps, our fragile illusion can be preserved."
*For the first time since his return from the woods, Donovan's voice increases in volume. He is not shouting, but is clearly speaking to be heard.*
"Donovan Thynedar is a murderer. He kills people. He killed Onyksi, and he will kill again. He leads the Phoenix Guard, and they kill people too. He lives with those people from Final Haven. I'm sure you've heard of them, they kill entire armies. Thousands of living, breathing, beings no different than you or I. Dead. Killed. Murdered."
*He speaks louder still, his voice taking on a mocking tone.*
"But, of course, nice people only kill in self-defense. Good people only take the lives of the people who threaten them, or wrong them, or offend some shallow, percieved sense of honor. If it helps you all to wash the blood from your hands, then kill Donovan Thynedar. If the people of Haven can continue to believe that the killing they do is justified, and the killing their enemies do is 'evil', by killing Donovan Thynedar, then do so. If taking the life of one man will allow all of you to wrap the lie of your own righteousness over your eyes and sleep better at night, then kill him."
*Hands tightening into fists, all mocking leaves his voice.*
"Because the truth is as cold as the steel at my hip. We are all killers here. All murderers. We take the lives of those who stand against us, and Donovan Thynedar has become a walking reminder of that fact. People and their pathetic sensibilities..."
*He takes a goblet from his belt. It is made from a human skull.*
"Does this offend anyone? There was no shortage of people willing to remove this from the man's neck, but somehow keeping it turns their stomachs. Brutal enough to kill, but too delicate to see the results of their butchery."
*Begins walking up to each of those assembled, holding the goblet out for them to see. He is now nearly screaming.*
"LOOK AT IT! THIS IS WHAT WE ARE! THIS IS WHAT WE DO!"
*Throws the goblet to the ground.*
"We kill in our own interest, nothing more. There is no more justification for the killing we do then the killing done by the beastmen, or Silverthorn, or the woodwraiths, or anyone else... accept that. Lie to yourselves and deny it if you have to, but don't call Donovan Thynedar a murderer for doing what he had to do to protect the Haven and its people, for doing what others could or would not do. Besides, you may find killing Donovan Thynedar a bit difficult. He's been dead for quite some time."
*He throws his head back, yelling into the air.*
"Curufin! Damn me to hell? Fine. If damning me makes it easier for you, so be it. But know this, I never hated her. My actions have never been driven by hatred!"
*Donovan's face turns towards Corbyn, then Annika, then Arthos, then Robin each in turn. He gazes deeply into each of their eyes for a moment. His eyes are still on Robin when his foot crashes down on the goblet, shattering the skull.*
"Never hatred..."
"...necessity."
*Donovan turns and begins walking south.*

One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though ... betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope.

*Claude stands quietly and watches the events unfold around him. After the tempers have flared and voices risen, he waits to say his piece.*
Gentlemen, I will not defend the actions of anyone over these past few days nor will I condemn them. Much has happened and much more will before we reach our home. Of this I am sure. But on the subject of Nuk I will say this.
Nuk died the moment she knocked upon that keep door. From that moment on, noone here was able to save her. This land has its Laws and customs and her mere presence violated almost all of them. So I am ask you this... why did she commit suicide that night by knocking on that door and asking for Donovan?
I do not believe she was foolish enough to think she would be walking back out again... so what did she seek to accomplish? Was she forced to come and sentence herself to death... or was it a final act of contrition? I would have you all dwell on this before we speak of each other again of murder. But do remember, someone planned on her not surviving that night... one way or another....

*Kidwynn's eyes blaze in anger and for a moment turn her total foccus on McEwan. She then takes a deep breath and heads over to where Kels is for it is obvious the party is not moving out yet. Once near Kels she still very much on guard and ready even more now to decemiate whatever threat lies before her.*
Dead pirate betrayed by Corbyn...ah well least I made him do his own dirty work when he killed me.
*Zander walks up behind Claude and addresses him:*
"Although it was not the business that brought me here, since I overheard your statement it is my desire to make sure that you are corrected on a few points."
"Yes, it is true that on a different day I would have killed the Dark Elf witch likely without much inquiry or hesitation, however, before I found out she was a witch I discovered she was a Havenite, and as such, was under my protection. This is demonstrated by the statement that I made to Barappas when he threatened her companion. You had all been told that if your mages did not use the dark magics while they were here they would come to no harm. She would have been protected by this temporary policy."
"The other fact is that while she was questioned it became clear that her casting the dark magics to reincarnate him was done because she had been tortured and forced to do so by implanted suggestion. This I brought to Donovan and Barappas's attention and said that because I did not trust her and did not know her I would allow Donovan, who appeared to be Robin's second in command, to make the decision."
"As far as I'm concerned, the only law she broke in my lands was being a witch, but would not have been harmed if she had left with the rest of the Havenites."
*Zander turns to Annika and says:*
"We need to have a conversation, come with me...."
*Zander and Annika walk off about a hundred feet and appear to be arguing.*

*Before Zander walks away Claude drops to one knee, his sword tip in the ground before him*
I cry your pardon Zander. It was not my intent to dishonor the leinency you and your people have shown us. Merely show that for all this Pentag knew, her actions would mean her death. I do not know all of what transpired that night, I only wish to point out that we have many more questions to ask and answers to seek.

*Vir-Drake yells in a loud voice*
"Then why the hell am I hear Claude? Why the hell didn't they kill me? Nuk risked her life to stop Pentag, and Donovan killed her. He let me go without any question, but he kept her. He took her head. Look at where I'm being kept. Tied up like a criminal!! Curufin is right. No one was there for her. If I knew she was going to be killed I would have felled every man in that room first. This is not justice, this is bullshit!"
*Vir-Drake looks really pissed off*
"Someone untie me now, so I can comfort my best freind"
*Looking at Curufin*

*Zander responds:*
"I did not mean that there was any deception on your part, I just wanted it to be clear that, in my mind, there were two seperate crimes for which she was suspected. One was being a witch in my lands, of which she admitted to being. Although currently the penalty for that is death, she admitted being a Havenite and that was verified by others. Therefore she was exempt from the penalty, as long as she refrained from magical activity."
"The second crime was aiding a known criminal, namely this Pentaguishine, to evade punishment and bring harm to the Havenites while in my lands and you all were under my protection. I am convinced she did not commit that crime of her own free will and would have exonerated her on that count. That, however, was left in Donovan's hands, as he seemed to be the authority from your group at that time."

*a slow clap is heard from the shadows*
Inspiring words Donovan. You speak like a leader of men. You have the power to back up. But you have no concept of what it is. You are a fool. Nuk was acting on my orders. She was the only one we had any hope of being contacted by pentag.
I also noticed that your man drake was not questioned in a manner in which it could be discerned whether he was telling the truth, and I might add his head is still on his shoulders, for now. Once again as Grok has stated you play favorites to your men. As far as I knew Nuk was not a member of your house and thereby was WAS IN NO WAY YOURS TO DISPOSE OF. You are a murderer, and might I add a newcomer by some standards. I will see that you are punished for what you have done.
You are drunk with power and a disgrace. Did if ever occur to you in your tiny little mind that by showing up with pentag's head, she was trying to tell you in the only way she could that pentag was no longer in the form we knew. Did you even find out if she had been tortured? NO YOU DIDN'T.
Pentag has never done anything to you. I am the only one who has ever fought him. Did you kill Dalid for healing him when I had all but killed him? NO YOU DIDN'T. You are an unfit leader who does not have the support of the whole town, but act as if you do.
Now once again I am left with no weapon against Pentag. Once again I will be the only one actively hunting him. I will be doing this without the only link I had to him.
You have no clue what it means to combat him. You are his greatest ally and you don't even realize it. He will beat you because you do not act you only re-act.
This is the final evidence I needed. I will never follow you again. You are a joke as the head of a house. A child could lead this town better than you after being bashed about the head with a hammer. You can not even keep order amongst a group that has sworn to die for you. How you have inspired this "loyalty" is beyond me.
I am now off to my lone hunt in which you have hamstrung me with your ignorance and arrogance

If you hear me coming, I didn't come to kill you.
*Kidwynn looks over at Vir-Drake*
You are not helping. If I could have, I would have cut you free last night, but based on events people are airing on the side of caution. Deep down if the situation were reverse and it was one of us you'd do the same thing at least the part I was getting to know before your physical transformation and time with a known deranged murderer.
*...Her voice tapers off at the end and she is just silent for a bit before she begins very softly talking to Kels.*

*For a moment, Ravinal freezes in place, still scratching. Then he becomes slack-jawed in awe as he hears each word spoken aloud. Dropping the large pack on his back, he closes his mouth and his face becomes stone.*
*whispering to himself, in hopes of someone hearing his silent frustration of the situation.* "If you died a long time ago........I wish you would have let us know........... I actually hate dark elves.....I didn't wish her death" *He growls and mutters more to himself; as he begins to pace back and forth.*

"Finally, someone understands! Please Roland hear me out. I am out to get Pentag as much as you and Nuk. I am willing to help you in any way possible.
If I could have a word with you in private."
"And please, would someone untie me for gods sake. Corbyn examined me and found out that I'm fine."
