*From up ahead*

“Come. We must continue. We stay together until the direction of the Fortress and the trail of death diverge. Should that happen, Drake, Host of Order, will pursue Chaos. With him will be Pugo, to track after Chaos and aid in Drake’s protection alongside DarKarath."

“Delayne, I know you would have us stay as one. The merits if doing so are manifold. However, I dread to think of the loss that is – caused by this contagion of Chaos, and the loss that may be should we allow it to continue for even a little longer. If Chaos and Creation lie on different paths, then I feel we must separate. Should this happen, would you take up the pursuit of Chaos, or stay with the group bound for Creation?”

*Kidwynn grins mischeviously and looks at Drake.*

Chaos eh, who better then a pirate to go with ya after that one. That is if you naturally find my talents useful.

Vaun surveyed the death about them in much the same way she did everything else, with cold indifference. She was not one to ever dwell on the aftermath of a given problem, but rather a seeker of solutions. Lamenting the dead, she knew, would not bring them back. Action to solve the cause of the death, could.

When Eilonwy spoke she shook her head. “The one known as Herb, it seems, held for a time Order within his person when Drakelenas Elderich of the Phoenix Guard was killed by the disease. Then he himself was slain, albeit briefly, that Drakelenas Elderich of the Phoenix Guard could take back that Aspect. Thus, had the one known as Herb held Chaos as well, it would have fled to a new host.” She sighed in irritation. “We cannot escape the fact, however, that the one who holds it is known to Haven, was present there.” She fell silent again.

The Vau’An’Dar woman turned her dark violet eyes on Atrum. “It would indeed seem that it heads away from us. I surmise that there is no coincidence that its trail precedes us. I doubt that we shall have to go looking for it… it shall find us. After all, Order walks beside us.”

She was thoughtful for a moment and added very softly, “I do not advise dividing this force. One of the eldest battle tactics is to divide and conquer. My people use it often. What is strong when it is whole, so much more vulnerable when split. I should not like to see our hubris cause us to overextend ourselves. We would be easy prey then. I do understand the need to acquire both Creation and Chaos. However, we must not underestimate our foe. This seems to perfect a trap to me, I like it not at all.” She was frowning, a hand raised and wreathed in what appeared to be lightning.

If it becomes imperative that we split our forces, I'm afriad we must do so. We are in an unfortunate situation where we must take the initiative or risk losing everything. Our enemies can rest on their laurels in a fortress or flee from us and if we allow them to... people will die. Thousands will drown in blood if we are weak. Foolish or not we must pursue them and we must regain those Aspects.

A trap? Of course this is a trap. But, might I also point out, I believe our foes underestimate us. A walking embodiment of Chaos and an Ancient Wyrm. Us mortals are but mere playthings to them. If the situation were different I might almost pity them for their arrogance, they have no idea what they're dealing with.

*With that Claude attempts to speed up his steps to catch up to Dallid, the physical effort of the task is painfully visible*

*Smiles after Claudes speach

"You better believe that they underestimate us, they cant even begin to know the hurt we are about to bring!"

*On the outside DarKarath is boasting and beaming with pride, confident and ready for whatever. On the inside He has fear, fear of losing what has become his new family, all that he has strived for and the goals that he has yet to accomplish. DarKarath knows that this will be a very tough task, and may not return from it, but by God if he must meet his end, what a glorious and heroic end it will be!

*Pugo looks to Dallid and nods in agreement with his statement. Than watchs the other as they tak about. Once Dallids starts to go forth Pugo pick up his lead of tracking. As he begins to track again, he whispers over to Drake.*

"It is ok to feel strong and mighty. It is even good to show weakenss at times. It is not ok to think that once we have our prize we are safe. That is foolish to think we are safe at anytime. "

*Pugo stop for a seond to lising to the winds and the birds. (if there are anymore left to hear.)*

"Hmm why is that one so odd? And that one seem old why? I have not seen them in haven this last moon. was I blind to them for some odd reason?"

*Pugo points toward Kidwynn, and than Claude. After that he pick up the pace hoping Drake keep up.*

*Drake turns to Pugo as he keeps up with him*

"We can be strong and we can be mighty. We can show weakness and we can show strife. We have different ideals and ideas from eachother. It is what makes us mortal after all. But it is the chance to be safe that we are fighting for. And I for one don't think it to be foolish to relax when I am safe. We can't live with the pressure of it all the time. Always looking over our shoulder waiting for the knife to get us. But I do understand what you are getting at."

*Drake gives Pugo a hard slap on the back and laughs*

"But this is what makes this town what it is. Different people with different ideas, all looking to stop the Darkness."

*Drake points to Kidwynn and Claude*

"They were not with us last moon. Yet with all the pressures they are feeling they are here with us. It is comforting to know that you have friends to help you out, even in their own darkest hours."

*Drake stops for a moment and looks at the two of them. He stands there proud knowing that they are here with him. A great sense oh hope fills his heart and he continues on*

*Pugo Nods to Drake comments and keep shis pace up.*

"You an I not so different but we not the same either. I have always been looking form the shadows. Watching, waiting, and preparing for the strike. Where Ogrom and I come form is a very brutial land. yet it is very green, and breath taken. We not see other like those two before. We see other tribes of orcs, some humans, and lots of longears. We always under attack, so we always watching our backs. Hard to relax in land when it is hunting you as much as we hunt it.

It is nice to see there is haven in lands now. It is nice to see longear, human, and dwarf not try and kill us on spot. Makes me wonder how place like haven gone to be when things change like they always do. I have seen it is the nightfire of the featherd serpent. but this not place to tell you tales of the Ga'vin and the featherd serpent. We needs to hunt those that hurt haven and end their chance of it."

*Pugo get scent of something as they pass thou the area. Not sure what it is he stop for a second an than pick back up his pace.*

"You are quite correct Dallid...I appologise for not thinking things through further before making my assesment."

Delayne looks thoughtful.

"If we cannot stay together, then I will assist the group hunting chaos, if they will have me. In fact, it may be better this way...giving some thought to recent events, it may be best if I do not go into a stronghold that may belong to Him." She pronounces the word with a definate capital.

*Staying quiet and ever vigulent to to trail they travle Ogrom sniffs the air for any scent of life and watches to the shadows that appear to have a life of their own even in the presence of daylight.*

This place look dead and or dieing things not natural here.
Pugo less noise more watching things here not safe and we might be hunted ourselves by the wood ones.

We might be the next food to what else still live here since we not sick and still show life.

The adventurers continued on their way, desperate to get to the cave by nightfall. While the numbers of dead animals thinned considerably, the did periodically turn up. Perhaps of most concern was the presence of scavengers among the group. Animals used to feeding on dead, decaying, disease filled carcasses lied amongst the coprpses, victims of the same fate.

Beyond that, the absence of living, healthy creatures was unsettling. It were as if they had fled, hoping to outrun the pace of the disease, or perhaps they were dead, every last one of them. The concern of not having adequate meat to hunt rose to the surface of the few hunters of the group, putting a premium in their mnds of finding the source of the problem.

Just after nightfall, tired of being surrounded by death with no reward for their troubles, finally, up ahead, witht he aid of the vibrant moonlight, the faint outline of a cave could be seen. It seemed quiet, but there was little doubt in anyone's mind that that peace was about to end...

*Kidwynn is keenly alert searching for trouble, he swords at the ready to both defend herself and dispatch anything that might attack. Ironically with all this death about, the young pirate does not appear frightened in the slightest. Whatever is going on behind her blue eyes, appears to have hardened her on the outside currently.*

Vaun began to utter an incantation in her liquid native tongue, the lighting in her hand turning to a cool violet fire. When Atrum gave her a raised eyebrow she merely answered, "Tis better to be over prepared than under." She checked that all of her talismans were in place, and then turned her attention to Dallid.

“So we have arrived, and still we tread on the path of death. Thus may we enter united on the morrow. Let us seek rest here for the night, so we might begin our trials at strength, with our wits about us.”

*Notices Vaun's focus and meets her eyes.*
