I would just like to say as well that allegiance is how you survived before with savages not pulling a lot of weight before. You pooled allegiance together and did stuff like bring in resources. The system, in that regard, has not changed. It's just that we put coin in your hand so you can better see how the system has always worked and thus made it meaningful. You should still pool your "support" together (ie your money) and use it to get stuff. Combine your money with role playing and you might succeed. Like before, you don't have to participate in that part of the game; it's not for everyone. Whatever you did before to survive may still work.
And don't like the leadership? Well, you could always kill her...

The main problem I have with the system is that now it takes WAY WAY more than you would get for your 9 resources to survive. That doesn't seem right at all.
I don't have a problem with role playing making a difference, I think totally opposite of Christen in that MMO's to me are what you do if you want to be uber badass defeating the mighty dragon, demon or giant with your group of other uber badasses.

I am way confused by this statement.
A person needs 6 resources not 9, and still how would it be more?

I finaly read the new political system and is not that much different than what was before. It just uses money instead of support points.
Spy does that same thing it did before. It just uses money instead of support points
Yes, savages can live better in the wilderness, that is why they have access to wilderness survial. But in a coin base system, they just don't get paid as much as the human in a human controled and domminated world.
I only see minor changes to the over all system.

You're right it's 6 resources not 9, but I think you're missing the part where you get like 10 or 12 copper for each resource and then have to pay 1 gold 1 silver for upkeep. At least that's what we did all last year, I haven't touched a resource that wasn't mystic or didn't come for the rogue skill in a year . Upkeep should always equal the trading value of 3 food, 2 supplies and 1 cloth.

10 to 12? not even close.
the cost of survival is 3 food *(current cost) + 2 supplies(*current cost) + cost of cloth. (period.)
It's exactly the same.
and sage is even lower, being based on 6 of the lowest.

Then how come turning in my resources for rogue gets me a few copper?

somebody be ripping you off.
steel was 15 copper. Food has been as high as 20.
I don't have the FH costs, but they were moderately high.

Those upkeep values or the values for resources are not set in stone they will fluctuate based on either money in the system (infation/deflation) or amount of resources in the game (supply/demand).
Soooo
Each player gets X amount of coin
Production sources bring in resources.
Production sources cost resources for upkeep based on people in the land.
People require upkeep.
Bank has so many resources
We then translate everything into coin based ont he above information.
Coin does not equal upkeep anymore than the money you make ='s bread bought at the store.
And you dont even need to upkeep yourself, its not like you die.

Ok maybe I just don't know the conversion rates for copper silver and gold. Even at 20 copper that still only makes 6 silver (20 x 3) 60/10=6 so the 2 supplies and 1 cloth = 50 silver?
