Zeira keeps his voice at a whisper

"Fine Daine. You, Malachi, and Theon head in one direction and Cristo, Brey and I will head in another. When you are sure your not being followed head back to the cave."

Zeira motions for Brey and Cristo and heads into the darkness

"Lets move."

Malachi heads off in another direction

Both groups head out into the darkness escaping Haven with greater ease than you thought. After a time, when you realize you are not being followed you end up back at the campsite where Robert is already waiting

Robert addresses the group

"We should not tally for you have created a bit of a stir back in Haven. Let us be off now and escape, incase the elves find out we are here."

Mortimer, pack in hand

"Lets go"

"Well, we did get some information about Haven and hopefully made some allies. All and all I think it went pretty well."

Zeira grabs his pack and spear

"I think Robert is right. We should get out of here. We didn't really start up anything though. What do you guys think alerted them to our presence? That way when we come back we can avoid it."

Mortimer agrees and begins heading out as quickly if not quicker than ever. As distance from Haven increases, his step slows a bit, as if he is more comfortable that they had truly escaped, but the pace, as always, is feverish. Many times, as been his custom, he stops to sniff the air and listen to the breeze, the ground, the trees, before sprinting off in new directions or staying the course.

After a couple weeks of travel, the group once again makes it back to the cabin of the family. While the sky is darkened from the setting sun, the cabin is lit, the flickering candles signifying that the family had returned...

*Seeing the lights on at the cabin, Azra smiles, and looks to the others, and speaks keeping her voice low*

Well, it seems as though our friends are safe. We can return their belongings.

“Mortimer, what is the nature of the deal you have with these people regarding the artifact? Robert, how were you aware our scouting party had caused alarm in Haven?”

Mortimer addresses Dallid, "They simply mentioned an uncle near Caldonia. I thought if they could get it out safely, they should do so and hopefully when they returned things would be calmer here. I implied that the uncle would get paid for holding it for us and that the price owuld be more than fair, and I gave the family some potions to help with their journey. They were much obliged."

"It's a shame we had to leave Final Haven so soon, I would have liked to gather just a little bit more information, but oh well. Better safe than Sorry."

"Indeed. Best to ensure what we have learned does make it back to Far Reach."

"So this family still possesses the artifact. Very well, let us see if they might be willing to part with it."

Approaches and knocks on the door.

"Nay, if they did as I said, the uncle will have it, and it will be waiting for us when we return. We can purchase it then."

When Dallid knocks, Torren answers and smiles. "So you've traveled back this way again? I thought you were on your way home. Please come in."

Just before Dallid knocks on the door Robert speaks

"Me and my men were watching, as we said we would do. We saw you enter the inn, and after some time there were a few elves moving in and out, and 1 even left the city quickly. When we saw the patrol return sooner than expected we only assumed you must have caused a stir, especially since they entered the inn. We then caught eye of Zeria's group and assumed you would meet back up at camp."

"That was probably my fault. I unwittingly paid for our drinks with a Caldonian coin. It totaly slipped my mind that coin was uncommon there. I'll take responsibility for that. It was a sloppy mistake."

Malachi looks around the rest of the group and sighs

"Anyone see any sign of Virgil?"
