Second Prophesy Piece Location

Two go left, two go right and meet on the other side. Nothing looks out of the ordinary. It's a small stone well that does have a bucket fastened to it by what appears to be a lengthy rope. Nothing appears to be guarding the well and nothing can be seen surrounding it as the sweep is done...

*After looking around and meeting at the other side, Kidwynn looks at Kels.*

Ok, so now what? Put the bucket in the well and see what happens or leave and tell the others what we know of thus far.

*She pauses*

Humm...if there are others and this place is thus far unguarded I'm wondering if we should proceed further.

Then again, all the nastyness we would run into could be inside the well itself.

I mean what is inside that contraption that we shouldn't be gettin' to near?

*Kels stands there for a moment thinking on the best coures of action*

"Ok, Herb I would like you to stay here with Kidwynn. Me and Ravinal will go and have a look see." *He looks at Kidwynn* "If anything happens to us go back to Corbyn and report do not try and save us and make sure Herb is safe as well. Let's go Ravinal!"

*With that he begins moveing to the well*

*For the first time on the mission since he had been giving her orders, Kels will notice a slight bit of hesitation in Kidwynn's eyes and she taps him on the shoulder.*

But I can't just...I won't....

*She looks at him an sighs relaasing her grip and obeys the command issued by Kels.*

Aye aye Capt'n. Please be careful.

*She then moves along side Herb and keeps on the look out for any signs of trouble. She is more then willing to strike up a conversation with him if he so chooses.*

Kels and Ravinal approach the well cautiously. Nothing happens as they walk and they finally arrive at the base of the well unscathed. Peering in, they can see the water within, visible to the eye, perhaps merely a foot and a half down from the top. All is still...

Herb turns to Kidwynn, mumbling, "I don't like this. Too quiet. Too easy. Something's wrong." A look of concern on his face as he too scours the area looking for any sign of trouble but seeing none...

*As Kels looks down the well he can't help but notice the water is not moveing at all he looks at Ravinal*

"Whats wrong Ravinal. And what do you think about this?"

*He waits for a respons*

*Kidwynn looks at Herb.*

You are thinkin' the same thing I have been thinkin' luv. Arriving here and all has been far to easy. Can't decide if it's because someone wants us here or is just waiting for the correct opportunity to strike.

I feel as if I'm waitin' for a trip wire of a trap to go off.

*She continues to be on the watch for trouble and trying very hard not to look concerned.*

I just am not at ease since things have changed in this forest, is all. And the meeting with that woman; I feel we are being set up. Someone or something is waiting for us to discover something, so that they can try and take it. Whatever 'it' is.

*Ravinal shifts his weight so to quickly swing his sword to his left hand as he gather natures magic once again. He seems transfixed on the stationary waters within the well as he proforms his action.*

*Softly spoken* I suggest we prepare for an ambush, as we are looking for whatever it is we are here to find.

*Kels slings his bow over his shoulder and draws his sword*

"I think your right. How about we see if the water moves. Be ready for anything."

*Kels starts to lower the bucket into the well*

Kels approaches the well further and begins lowering the bucket into the water. Suddenly, quickly, and forcefully watery hands shoot out of the well, grab onto Kels and pulls him in moments before Ravinal can react to save his friend. The water turns crimson but begins to recede and when fully drained, Kels's body can be seen by Ravinal lying on the floor of the well. Kidwynn and Ravinal, paralyzed in fear, at first do not react, but sit cowering and shaking at the horrible display before them.

Seemingly uneffected by fear of any kind, Herb runs toward the well and without any apparent caution grabs onto the rope that held the bucket and jumped into the opening after Kels. Down below, Herb begins working furiously, pulling potions out of his pouch, but takes his eyes off Kels momentarily as he looks straight forward, apparently down some sort of tunnel. The color drains from his face as he slings Kels over his shoulder, bracing him with one hand, and holding onto the rope with the other.

"Pull," he shouts to Ravinal and Kidwynn. Overcoming the fear, Kidwynn and Ravinal react and do as they are told, straining with all their might, wishing that Herb was a little less plump, but straining and working as quickly as possible, knowing their friend's time was short.

As Herb and Kels leave the ground of the well, the water slowly begins to fill the well again. Seemingly afraid for the first time, Herb says through gritted teeth, "Hurry!"

Reaching the top, Herb slings Kels over the edge first and then tries to pull his body up over the edge, even as Ravinal and Kidwynn lend him a hand. As the water level reaches its apex, Herb's final leg is hauled over the edge and he flops onto the ground just as the watery hands reach up after him, fortunately grabbing only air.

Letting out a breath that he had apparently been holding the entire climb up the well, Herb grunts and pulls himself toward Kels's body, getting potions into his mouth as quickly as he can. After administering two, he continues to work feverishly, shaking his head, cursing. He administers another potion, this one apparently not to heal, and it looks and feels like a desperate act. The potion works quickly and color returns to Kels's face, but Herb doesn't stop. Another two potions are administered into Kels when finally Herb pulls back, wipes the sweat off his brow and says with little certainty, "He'll be fine." Herb looks drained and peers on with strained eyes, mumbling something incoherently but finally, mercifully, after about five minutes, Kels awakens...

Moments later, Herb smiles, again lets out a breath and says quite simply, "I don't know what's in there that's so important, but I'm thinking you're going to need more people..."

*Kidwynn looks at the well, then her eyes scan the area before turning her attention to Herb while Kels is still unconcious.*

Whatever that things is, you are correct luv we are going to need more people to help out for I have no idea how to stop that guardian. Behold the trap and the bucket and leaning over that well being the trigger.

*She looks over at Kels lying then and then back to Herb as she takes her coat off to put around Kels for when he wakes up realizing he'll be freezing.*

*When Kels wakes up Kidwynn looks concerned, but helps him to his feat.*

"You don't owe me anything," Herb says quiety, still catching his breath. "I'm just glad everyone's okay."
