*Aurora looks at Dallid and just sighs. She then turns her attention to Atrum.*
As before if I do not return in an hour, send a search team but as before I should be just fine.
*Aurora takes off and she will be checking from time to time using spot and all to make sure she isn't followed.*

Malachi sighs and throws Dallid a knowing look, then turns to Zeira
"Oh, one of those plans. Well, I'm game."

Esmerelda comes out of her room to catch the end of the excahnge between Aurora and Dallid, shaking her head. As soon as the warrior girl leaves, Esmerelda turns to her friend.
"So, Dallid, would you do me the honor of being part of my delegation? I know we kind of discussed this before, but I'm making it official. So there shouldn't be any problems. I apologize. If I'd heard more of this discussion I would have stepped in sooner."

by Rhul
Rhul speaks up from where he has been helping pack for the coming journey to Haven, patting dust and detritus from his hands on the legs of his pants. Scrounger runs along one of the tables, agilely making the vault to his shoulder, and the beastman nudges him under the chin with a great finger, and begins stroking the striped tail as it hangs down his chest.
I understand there is a concern as to what to do with the remains of the fallen in the battle for Gravesbane. Is there anything I can do to help? By my very nature, I would be immune to any diseases that might crop up, though the task would be disheartening, however necessary.
I know we can go to the Obsidian Halls to return any of the bodies of the Dark Elven contingent that perished, but I do not know where our other allies were recruited from.
(He looks to Aurora and Fionna as they talk of Caledonia with Dallid)
If the gates remain closed to all travelers, is there any way I can at least get a message through into the interior? I wish to give my thanks to Helena Lochlann, the highland shephard I told Fionna of who gifted me with her hereditary claymore I carry, and tell her that it truly did serve well in "younger hands" as she put it.

*Stops in her tracks again and looks at Rhul*
I absolutely want to ask you more about the Claymore, but I'll do so when I back Rhul. Coulg you please write that message down for me and I'll try to get that done as well? I would like to relay your words exactly if I can locate this person. Don't worry I can read common.
*Looks at Esmerelda*
I'll see how many people Inarian or whomever is willing to meet with. If I have to I'll pull, what is that phrase, ever string I have to see if they'll see your entire deligation. I'm pretty sure I can get you an audience, I just don't know if I can get the entire party, but I'll see what I can do.

Indubitably, Aurora. Although the story is rather mundane for such a honor laden item. I will indeed write her a letter, though I would accompany you to the gates myself to deliver it when you plan on going, as I would like to say a bit of a goodbye to the men and women of the Gendarmen who trusted such a monster as myself (he says with a chuckle) into their country in the first place for business.

*She looks at Rhul*
Right now I can't take you with me. I have a way I can get word to people but I have to go myself. I gave them my word it would be just me and me alone and I'd bring no one else.
I hope you can understand.
By the way *she smiles warmly* you are absolutely not a monster.

“Should Inarian accept such a delegation, it is I who would be honored in accompanying you, Esmerelda, though I would be pleased if simply the right messages and sentiments are conveyed to him. We have a brief opportunity to establish communication and commerce across significant stretches of lands. A shameful loss to waste it.”

*After about an hour, Aurora returns and immediately walks up to Esmerelda to report her findings to her.*
Sorry it took so long, but I wanted to deliver Rhul's message and I didn't want to rush the converstations I was in.
So here is the deal. The gates are going to remain closed for weeks. I couldn't get a clear timeframe on when they are going to be opened back up, but eventually they will be.
A compromised has been reached in that they will allow in a non-Caldonian inside the walls if they are accompanied by a Caldeonian citizen. What that means is basically Esmerelda I can take you there, Mohdri could take Atrum, and Fiona could be Dallid's escort.
*She shrugs* It's something and we can head there whenever you wish.
What I do know is that they are pretty set on tearing down the portals. I honestly do not thing this point of view is going to change with how magic is viewed around here. You are more then welcome to discuss the matter, but once a Caldeonian's mind is made up as both Fionna and I have tried to state, especially in the Gendarmen, it's really difficult to change it.
*Aurora stands there and awaits Esmerelda's reply.*

"What constitutes being a Caldonian? Do you just gotta have one of those sashes? I got some stuff for winning a couple of Caldonian games, think they would let me in?"

*Aurora takes a deep breath and looks at Ziera*
No, you need to be an acknowledged Caldeonian citizen. So basically myself, Fionna, or Mohdri would have to accompany you. I was hoping you would have understood that by the example I gave to Esmerelda.

"Just checkin'. Wouldn't want to walk up there and embaress myself. C'mon Malachi, I got a plan."
Zeira starts to walk towards the back door of the Inn

Malachi chuckles
"This aught to be good..."
He follows Zeira
