Cristo exchanges quick glances with his brothers and draws his swords. His eyes are filled with the confident spark of battle as he addresses Virgil.

"I really hope this isn't what it looks like, because if it is, then it's going to be very unfortunate for you."(Taunt)

Cristo takes a step towards virgil.

Zeira starts moving towards Virgil

"Don't kill him...not until we get some answers. Just try and restrain him."

Malachi curses yet again. It is obvious that he is tired of the entire situation. He sighs audibly and walks towards Virgil, his weapon still in it's scabbard. He walks past Christo and gets between them. Once he gets within arms reach, Malachi sends a mailed fist into his jaw with all the strength the blacksmith can muster.

*When virgil sees the group he smiles and casually walks there way, wehn threatned by mortimer he looks a bit confuse, about to explain he is taunted by Cristo, and slowly begins moving towords him, when malachi hits him he shakes his head dased then tries to lunge over malachi at him, but is settled down as malachi stops him.*

"You coward, next time you want to fight just tell me, i figured with all the elves you would be tired by now."

*Virgil carefully backs up carefull to keep his line of retreat, more out of habbit than will.*

"I will not deny that i left with the intention of taking that item, when i got back to the cabin i asked for it, it was explained that plans had already been made for it with Robert, accepting this i asked if there was anything they could give us for the trip, to wich he replied i help myself to the cabin."

*Virgil pulls a wood plate from his sack.*

"There wasnt much left, but when your used to a lifetime of killing and scavaging you take what you can get, and dont call me a thief.

*He points a t Ziera*

He is a convicted thief, he was exacuted for it too, dont quite know how he got back....but how did your mission go."

Dallid steps forward.

“Daniel is recovered. The Elf who took him slain. Another Elf, unfortunately, is still on the run, likely moving toward Haven. Should he beat us there, our mission is compromised. However we might still overtake him with Mortimer’s aid.”

He turns to Malachi and Cristo. “This aggression directed at a colleague has done more harm then good. Attacking before an explanation can be given is not justice, just violence. Virgil’s story may be easily investigated with a quick check of the cabin, which we must draw near to pick up the other Elf’s trail. But believe that if we cannot extend trust to our fellow party members, this quest is all ready doomed.”

Malachi strips off his armor and sits down. He pulls a small wooden case out of his pack and removes several tools. He sits down and begins working on his armor

"You are absolutely correct, Dallid. Inter-party violence is clearly a detriment to our cause as a whole. But on the same token, so are loose cannons who do what they like when they like. And I'm not speaking of Virgil alone. What I did, I did to avoid bloodshed. The elves have plenty of that for us."

He tugs at the newly attached strap on his paldron slightly, then sets it aside

"As for our mission, it's been compromised since Azra and I spoke to the people who had been following us. If it was Torren and his brothers, who were the people in the cabin, and vice versa. That shimmery disc-sphere thing could be any number of things, but I'm willing to bet that it's closely related to those towers we've heard so much about. If that's the case, the elves have known about us since we first got here, if not longer."

He begins to check each members armor for weak points and damage. He repairs what he finds

"And that single elf getting away? He's probably long gone by now, and gettin' closer to Haven with every step. But you know what? It's not gonna matter. The elves are the threat they are because they're not a collectively foolish race. They know we're gonna be spying on them. They know eventually we'll send a group of idiots right into their hands. It's just a matter of time. Hell, one of ours already did it and made it back! What's the chance they let that one go unnoticed?"

He puts his tools away once he's finished and pulls out a flask. He takes a drink

"Compromised? Hell, our mission was compromised before we left Caledonia."

*Virgil listens quietly as the discusion goes on.*

"I will not stay with this group, i know the way there and back and i work alone all the time, dont have to worry about getting people killed that way, i have my orders and i will carry them out, if you all want to go back to the cabin fine, im going to haven, to kill some elves and spill there blood for all the people ive seen spill theres until they had none left to give."

*Virgil sets down his pack, and slides the staff accross his back, walks past the group in the dirction of haven, and begins a steady run."

Robert takes everything in before steping forward and putting a hand on Malachi

"Do not loose hope. We have very little information, and what we do know speaks of madness. The elf was asking Daniel how we knew of their plans which means they do not know our plans. We know that an Elf ran toward Haven, but we do not know if that is its destination."

Shaking his head

"Nay we know nothing. We stand in a shadow, but hopefully Haven will shed some light on the situation"

Now turning to Virgil (before he ran away)

"I will trust that they told you to take what was needed, they are good folk, but I do not think they intended you to take their plates, and what ever else you have in there. I am still trying to figure out what tool you broke that handle off of. Surely a handle is not as needed by us as it is by them. When we return we will need to compinsate them for what was taken. It would be the right thing to do."

As Virgil takes off Roger sighs

""virgil is right about one thing. Our mission is not over."

Looking now at Mortmir

"Lets make haste!"

Seeing Malachi start on armor repairs, Dallid begins a healing circle for those who need it.

“True, Far Reach scouts have gone to Haven several times and returned. The Elves are aware of such intrusions, for several of their guards have been slain during these forays. Yet they may not know from where those scouts originated. Nor were the scouts discovered before reaching Haven. This Elf has likely marked us, and I would prefer to see him caught before he can relay what he has discovered.”

“Also true that we must coordinate our efforts closely. Each member of the party had best be aware of what the rest of the party is doing at all times, or the mission becomes significantly more complicated. We cannot afford to allow our situation to become more difficult than necessary.”

Mortimer puts his weapon away and stands there, looking forward and back. He listens to the words of Malachi and Dallid. He considers the missing elf and what he might report, to whom, and when, and then he repeats something Malachi had said, "It's just a matter of time," in a voice filled with dread.

"No matter, Robert's right. I don't trust a man who steals another man's plates, even if they were offered. These are difficult times."

He shakes his head then. "But we need to follow him. With our luck he won't get himself killed but captured, and we'll be his bargaining chips should things go sour, as they most certainly will...It's just a matter of time," he says again, in a near whisper...

As they begin moving again, Dallid matches pace with Zeira.

“I wish to apologize for disrupting your initial plan of engagement at the cabin. An organized and coordinated effort would have increased our effectiveness greatly. But as time will always be an ally of the Elves on this venture, I felt the need to spur action against them. I do not regret my actions, but rather how they unavoidably undermined your own effort at improving our odds.”

Zeira shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly

"No worries Dallid. Daniel was saved and everybody is fine now. I got no problem with taking action when needed, just give us a little warning next time. That way we're all clear on who's doing what and we can watch each others back."

Zeira addresses the rest of the group

"I don't think any of us want this to end in bloodshed. If we find Virgil, Malachai you be the one to talk to him. Or Dallid. The rest of us will just keep our mouths shut. If he still won't agree to act with rest of the group than we'll just have try something else. Maybe tie him up or something. I know it seems cruel...well I guess it is cruel but it's necessary. Hopefully it won't come to that though."

“The Elves were enacting a mission of their own – one they believed we had found out about and had come to foil. Likely involving that artifact in possession of those at the cabin. They acted rather strangely, practically denying they had been far from their cabin the previous night, at the camp Mortimer discovered.”

“Robert, did you indeed forge some agreement with that family regarding the artifact? I must say I don’t see how you might have had an opportunity to do so.”
