most magic systems are overpowered, there is a game some know, its called the elder scrolls oblivion, i love this game, you can be any combination of a warrior class, stealth class, mage class, and any mix of two or all of them.

i find myself playing a stealth character as i like to be sneaky and creep around, my brother plays a mage, who can be just as sneaky as me, through spells that boost his skill levels for a while, i will explain this in FH system,

it would be like an arcane being able to insta cast a full path on themselves, through a slight magic cost, for a couple of minutes, it can easily be re cast when its done, or switched out for another path at any time, meanwhile they still have access to all there own spells :?

magic is broke, no matter where, the only way to make it balanced is to

A - give it 4 skills and make it like a discipline
B - trade versatility for power, instead of giving all these powerfull damage spells, give it a bunch of weaker ones that just do stuff

actually that gave me a good idea, give each of its levels a skill set like mimic totem, that requires time to cast - change between - charge
