*Sethreal approaches the skeleton of the rider and looks over it carefully, he then moves to the sheild.*
"What did you find Rahl?"

by Rahl
I don't wanna say yet... it could nothing, it could be fake. I have a lot of questions about it... but it could also be very bad. Just give Dallid and a few of the sagely types a sec to go over it.

Shale walks over and nudges the shield with his foot, then takes a long look at the skeletons before deciding if they have been tainted my the magics sensed and could possibly get up again as puppets of darkness.
As he looks them over, he charges his most powerful blast... just in case. "That symbol could be from King Roderic's court. He has been inching uncomfortably close to the haven lands of late... Might be some kind of scouting group that hit trouble."

*Lambic, who has been staying at the back of the group, closes with Rahl.*
What did you find there?
*He reaches out a hand to take anything that is offered and examine it.*

So what killed him?

It's about a 4 year old skeleton, so at this point lots of different things could have killed him.

*Arthos uses his spot ability to checkover the corpse to try to determine what mightahve killed the man and horse. Arthos will pull the shield from the corpse and any salvagable equipment and make a pile on the trail once he checks for traps*
*If everything checks out Arthos will find a small deepression in the woods and place the skeletons in covering them with rocks and wood*

*When Arthos moves toward the armor and shield Kidwynn looks at him.*
Let me finish examining this luv so I can see if it is worth the time to salvage it.

*Ug leans down and looks at the symbol on the shield. He almost looks as though he recognizes it. He rubs his chin.*

*After a few moments, Kidwynn shakes her head and sighs in frusteration.*
Arthos, this shield is rotted and the armor is rusted through to the point that even I cannot make it all nice an pretty again.
*Notices Ug's reaction to the emblem on the shield.*
Ug luv, what are you thinking on that symbol?

*After Arthos moves everyting he pulls something from under the skeleton*
I think I found what killed him
*Holds up 3 rusty metal arrows*
I looks as if he was shoot and wander into the woods to die. He has been here for some time and the animals have used him for food. Hmm, I believe the danger this fellow faced is long gone now.
*Arthos contuines to bury the skeleton*

*Ug looks up to the rest of the group*
Hmmmm...dis be tymbul uv Brux.
*Ug coughs and hocks a loogy, spitting it off into the woods. He stands and states in a very clean English Accent.*
Symbol of the Barony of Brax, Dutchy of Silverthorne, Kingdom of Silverthorne. The primary city of Brax contained approximately 6000 people in it's prime, though it was built to house upwards of 10,000. With two outlying towns of Epsom and Hubri, plus three villages, the Barony itself sheltered more than 7500 people long ago. Many soldiers of the Silverthorne army found themselves training in the area of Brax. The city of Hubri was once utilized as a training camp for soldiers. The barony of Brax was situated on the mouth of the Silver River and was long a loyal bastion of defense for the nation of Silverthorne. Their chief trades dealt in fishing, rivercraft, stone work, and, of course, the shipping industry.
Many famous people found their way to Brax at some point. The great wizard Strider Al'Terra, the renowned historian Sathin Maevers, the Baron Stannish Worthshire, and even some of the great Kings of Silverthorne have visited the Barony of Brax in the past. Though it was not the most prosperous of the once 200,000 plus strong Dutchy, it was not the least prosperous either. Baronies such as Mordin and Tucor were much smaller in size.
*Ug looks around, most likely at a few wide eyes.*
Whuuuut? Hmm...Anyting youse all wants to know or we dun playin wit sum guyz boons and lutin 'is stuf? Why bodder wit de arrowz? Dis guy pwolly been dead for many many yeers.

*Stands looks at Ug in shock for a few moments before collecting herself.*
Umm..from what I can tell he has been dead for around 4 years. Thanks for the information Ug.
From what I can tell from this arrow is that it was designed to pierce through armor. The design of this arrow indicates it came from a crossbow.
*Moves towards Kels and looks over to Arthos.*
Let me know luv when you are ready to start scouting again. I will just relax here for a moment.

*Lambic stands holding the saddle bag in one hand and a scroll in the other. He shakes his head and blinks as Ug transitions between accents.*
Thank you Arthos for taking the effort to give this man as proper a burial as we can manage.
Shale would you mind attempting to discern if any of this stuff is empowered with magical energy?
Ug you mentioned a Wizard named Strider Al'Terra; do you know of a Baron with the same name and if so what do you know of him?
Dallid what was discovered if anything about the great battle that took place in the field near Brokehill? Was Silverthorne involved?
