"I will tell you the little that I know. Ingram, with several men, found the bell in the area of Haven. He managed to get pieces of the Bell before the others knew. This included Corbyn.
Two of the pieces were obtained and stored at Corbyn's home. Ingram, convinced Alric to get the pieces from Corbyn. The dwaves in haven you see wanted them, and it was a sign of good faith. Corbyn ponied up the pieces thinking that he would keep the later ones. Of course, Ingram and his men had already secured one.
The final one was through a dwarven gate. And Alric gave them that piece, thinking they had one left, since Corbyn made him swear not to give the dwarves the entire bell.
The Dwarves of Haven reconstructed the bell. This occurred during the time that Corbyn was going to destory town. There was even a show down at the Dwarves over the bell.
The bell was indeed rung. It seems to awaken sleeping dragons.
As for whether the Caladonia dwarves want the bell, we have made it's presence no secret. Indeed, it is very heavily protected. If they come and ask for the bell, we will turn it over to them."

Abaddon's tale is the sum of it. Though not as epic in retrospect, it was harrowing enough at the time.
Darkclaw, I apologize for my tongue before. It sometimes runs on of its' own accord. I have no wish for further hostilities, and look forward to working with each other, rather than against.
*Extends his hand toward Darkclaw to shake*
Let's bury the hatchet here and be done with this nonsense.

Well done.
I heard some people say Ingrham and his men where absent from the fort when the Elves attacked. I know some of the surviors are bitter about Ingrham escaping the betrayel of Corbyn and leaving Haven with so much where everyone else lost all. I can see where people are coming from saying Inghram knew of the betrayel in advanced and planned accordingly and left Haven to die. I truely do not know what happened, and that is why I ask. I search for truth. How is it that Inghram escaped death with so much and everyone else died or just bearly escaped with nothing? Why did Inghram and his people not stand with the rest of the town against the elves? I seek an understanding.

"Because they did not heed his warning. Ingram was helping the Dwarves repair the Bell when the actual attack went down. They rushed the bell into to place and rang it, but it was too late.
Ingram had warned the town repeatedly, but with out proof, they did not believe him. So he made sure that there would be enough left after the attack to allow everyone to survive.
Not everyone who followed Ingram lived either. Many, like laura, fell before the hordes. "

*Darkclaw shake Inghrams hand and shakes his head in agreement*
Forgive the questions, but I'm trying to understand what truely happened at Haven. So Inghram warned the town that he knew Corbyn would betray them, but did not know when or how it would happen? Or did Inghram know when Corbyn was to strike and how?
It sounds like Inghram did not know when or how Corbyn was to strike, but thought he would. Is this true? When did Inghram start warning the town? Was it days, months, years? What made Inghram think Corbyn was evil where everyone else thought he was good and helpful?
I find this dispartity very interesting. The majority thought one way and the minority thought a different way which turned out to be right.

"He did not know. There were suspicions. Ingram and several others over heard Corbyn about a year before the betrayal. But with out proof it was just ignored as whispers. Ingram at length expounded upon Corbyn, but was usually told to shut up and threatened. That was why he did what he had to do in order to survive. He tried gather this proof, but Corbyn was very good at hiding his tracks. "

I see. So Inghrams quest to prove he was right and find a weapon to prove Corbyn was evil, he left the entire town of Haven to defend themselves against the oncoming elves. It just happens Inghram was able to assemble the bell at the same time Corbyn attacked.
I can see why some people are so angry at Inghram. He choose to fulfill his own personal goals at the cost of the people of Haven. He chose not to stand against the elven armies in towns greatest needs.
By the way, did the bell do anything against Corbyn?
Also, have you ever heard of Dark Elf named Olan? I have heard he is wanted for some crimes against the people of Haven and that he survived the betrayal of Corbyn.

"Actually no. The Bell was not Ingram's original goal. He knew something was going to happen during that fight, but not what. The Bell was re-forged by the Dwarves.
If he had been at the keep, EVERYONE would be dead. He chose to save as many people as he was capable. He stockpiled food, attacked the elves, and went back to save any who were alive. He sheltered Atrum until Galin found them.
The Bell sucked the dragon out of him, leaving him vulnerable. alas, he had found a way to keep the dragon around, and re consumed the essence. "

"Ingram did what he had to do to save the most number of people he could. With out support of Haven, his hands were tied.
It takes a special kind of man to do what is required with out regard to emotion. I'm sure he is housed in his nightmares by all the people he couldn't save. But what do you want in a leader? Do you want someone who is ruled by the heart, and can not turn an ubiased eye or do you want the cold tactician who has seven different failsafe plans?
I want the man who will do what it takes to keep the largest number of people alive. When the arm is filled with wyrms, I want the man who will cut it off to save the body. Sacrifices were made, and I'm sure it haunts the man.
It takes a special man to reach out and help people, who hate you. Who curse your name and spit in your face, and to help them anyway.
This is why I follow Ingram. He asked me to come and help him build his gate. He needed someone with a greater understand of magic. I came.
Olan? Not sure. Is that someone here?"

*Ingram enters the now quiet house of chance. With a contented sigh he sits at a seat near the wheel and begins idly sharpening a dagger drawn from his belt.*

A young male Valkin"Vi can be seen wandering down the road towards the House of Chance. He has on a cloak that comes down just past his waist, tall black boots, and chainmail backed gauntlets. He has a bow over his shoulder, which he is absent-mindedly stroking and a quiver of arrows on his hip.
He stops in front of the gate leading to the House and pausing for a moment giving the place a quick look over before silently heading throught the gates and towards the front door, a smile on his face and his hand still stroking his bow.

The black-tailed woman enters the room where Ingram sits, a lap-harp with broken strings under one arm, her hair swept up into a bun and held with wooden sticks. "Your people have strange customs, Ingram." She sits somewhere within ear-shot him in the currently quiet room and sets the harp down on the table, strings in array. "To go into the House of another and show such disrespect towards him is to invoke the wrath of the spirits of Territory."

*Ingram pauses briefly to examine his work before continuing to hone the blade in his hand*
People have said worse of me. Hell, people are probably whispering sweet nothings about me right now. To be honest, it's a bit refreshing to have someone speak as such to my face.
*Ingram examines the blade again, this time sheathing it with a satisfied nod*
However, you'd imagine he'd have been wise enough to keep the tongue in his cheek rather than allow it to wag as he did. Though his words are just that - only words. If I let everyone who attacked my character gain my ire, then I'd have an irrational hatred for a fair number of people, I fear, rather than merely have it be the fair number of people with an irrational hatred for me.

*Darkclaw turns to the group*
I do not trust Ingrham or anyone the choose to follow him. And here is why.
1. He happen to be absent from elf attack when every other Havenite was there giving there life to defend there home.
2. Everyone who survived lost everything, where Ingrham made it so he would not loose anything.
3. He made himself a Lord because he could, not becasue he deserves the title.
4. His words are cutting and berating. His actions are that of a person who lives in the shadows and not of a person of honor and intergety.
I have been listening to people talk and have been observing and here is my conculsion. The reason Ingrham survied and was able to setup himself as lord is he is in working for Corbyn. He has created a safe area for the towns people just like Corbyn. He speaks of peace and brother hood just like Corbyn did. Inghram invites everyone to join him in his keep. It smacks of Corbyn junior.
I have no evidnece, but my gut is telling me something is very wrong here.
I only speak what I think and have discussed with other town members. I just thought you might want to here it straight from my mouth instead of rumors.
You do not have to fear an attack from me. I have sworn not to do viloence onto Ingrham or his people unless they start it.
And if me being honest and straight foward makes the so called Spirits of Territory angry at me, so be.

"So not only are you a fool. You are a fool who didn't listen. No one would have lived if Ingram had not saved them. Ingram did not set himself up as a lord. He refuses the title. He tried to get as many people to not face the foolish attack as he could.
You decided what you believed before you came over here."
