Aaron made a good point on the phone. Flee is NOT a resist at all. It does not cancel a fear effect. So by getting feared and using the avyana flee skill, once it is over you still have 5 seconds of fear left. While fleeing, all attacks to the front are still crush (if feared) and if using the scout flee, you are now knocked out of flee.

So fleeing while under fear isn't that big of an issue since if you did what I suggested before, you'd still be under the effects of fear and have wasted a life point.

Also flee can only be used "reflexively" against fear. Any field ruling that was otherwise for the fire elemental effect was only for that event since we really all died and the GMs cut us a break.

Currently, flee cannot be used while feared
Where did that come from? The book states on page 94:

While under the effects of Fear, no skills or abilities, except for Flee, may be used.

It is actually in the book already? Holy Cow! I feel dumb

Then if it is in th book then YES it can be used.

But to make sure you understand this is what happens.

Fear 10 seconds

You turn and run and activate Flee

All melee hits to the rear no longer affect you.

Melee\range hits to the front are all crush

No other skills can be used.

Except when you use scout flee. Then any hit to the front causes all attacks to the rear to count again.

Why would hits to the front cause hits to the rear to count again?

That OK Chris, we still love ya

From what I got form this post is active life point skills are temporaly suspended until the fear effect is over.Once the fear effect is over, they turn back on.

Is that a correct submation of this thread. Everthiong else was a rehash of the existing rule.

Ok, I don't have flee. If someone uses fear on me can I run away taking all the damage that they hit me with. Sangria is chicken when fear has not been used. (ask Doug) Or does fear make me stand still?

The mechanical effect of being hit with a fear call is:
While under the effects of Fear, no skills or abilities, except for Flee, may be used. Any charged or charging abilities are immediately interrupted and lost. A Feared character can neither attack nor defend - any strike on his or her person, weapons, or carried equipment counts as a hit. The Feared character may still move, talk, manipulate objects, etc, but should role-play the Fear appropriately. Some examples of appropriate role-playing are running, cowering in a corner, hiding behind friends, standing and screaming, etc. The fear effect lasts for ten seconds.
You can do anything you like to role-play the fear effect. Running is a really good idea because you are completely vulnerable to attack. You could also just stand there and scream, hide behind friends, drop to the fetal position, etc. Whatever makes the most sense for your character.
