*Entering the Lodge during the discussion is a man clad in black and silver robes. While obviously travel weary, he keenly observes the participants of the ongoing discussion. Pushing back his hood with blood red hands he exposes his painted Valkyn'Vi features. If noone impedes him, he sits down on a bench near the fire placing his bags at his feet.*

Eilonwy rouses herself from the beam upon which she had been leaning and crosses to Ravinal, careful not to enter the middle of the discussion floor.
She whispers softly, "Have thee need of answers, I will aid as always, my friend."
Her solemn gaze returns to the proceedings as one hand briefly touches Ravinal's shoulder.

*Atrum comes out of the back room of the Inn and takes a seat behind near the bar a few minutes before the proceedings begin. He listens to all the questions and statements quietly. When there is a break in the conversation he speaks up*
There are 2 houses within the Haven, one the Crescent Moon which currently supports Corbyn as Duke. The other is the Rising Sun which was recently formed and I am currently head of this house.
*Looks to Talana*
Corbyn and Donovan are correct in that our governing structure has been in flux, we will be working out a way, as stated, to bring all *glances at Nuk and a small smile creeps up one corner of his mouth* well, most of Haven together in a way that will benefit all of Haven. It is something that will take some time to work out but both Corbyn and I are confident that it will be. As we have learned, sometimes harshly and with folly, since coming to Haven a few years ago, creating a governing body and system that is amicable, acceptable and fair to all is an arduos task at the least.

*Arthos looks up with a smile*
That is great news Atrum. I'm glad to here everything worked out for you. So, what product will your house be producing? I'm defently interested in trading.
What are people's feelings about building a safe house where we all store our resources? The safehouse would be split up into different chambers, 1 chamber per guild, in which only the guild head would have keys to their chamber and store their resources, and all guild heads would have keys to the safe house. Maybe even rent out chambers to indiviuals. Is it something the people of Haven would like built?

Amagus hadn't been here a full night before Shale offered him a complete copy of the Guild of Thunder's spellbook.
With the things we currently face, it is truly insipid, and ignorant, to trust so blindly. It would be a forgivable offense if the person was a fool. But Shale has been here a long time. He should know better.
Arthos, quit being so naive. No amount of time is long enough to discern the loyalties of someone should they wish to conceal that information. Coming to a town, immediately being accepted, and even being taught dangerous magics free of cost - no wonder we're in the state we're in.
And I have no opinion as to who should "rule" Haven. I only wished to state that Corbyn is not "the people's Duke," as had been before mentioned. Clearing up the fog, so to speak. But other than that I have no desire to be involved in town politics.

*Arthos chuckels*
Nuk, please let me get this straight, if the Guild of Thunder decides to have new person to the town join their guild and give them a copy of their spells, it is bad. But if the Guild charges some fee for the spells and teachings to this new memeber, it would make it better?
If Amagus does accpect the offer of the Guild of Thunder, and he turns to be evil and plots against us all, than it would be the Guuild of Thunder responsiblity to repermand and bring to justice their rouge member. As it is for all guilds in Haven.
What do you wish the guild of Thunder to do, quetion Amagus for moons with hot pinchers, and sharp knifes. Last time I checked that pratice was frowened upon in Haven.
No one said we trusted Amagus, but the Guild of Thunder is willing to give him a chance to prove himself.
I see what you are saying, but we have start trusting some time, maybe not as soon as Shale did.

Amagus gives an amused chuckle before speaking slowly, deliberately.
“Oh, I sincerely doubt I have been granted access to all the Guild possesses, and I most certainly am being observed with great attention. The High Magus is perhaps more shrewd than generally credited. The spells given unto me are of notably limited use. Most are intended toward communal benefit, and none offer any great power. However they will serve as a strong foundation for my research, and will markedly increase my productivity.”
“I imagine guidance from my ‘peers’ will be in ample supply to prevent my efforts from treading across ground all ready covered – ground yet kept hidden from me.”
*Turns to Atrum*
“Forgive an old man his lack of courtly manners, but what title has your House granted you, Atrum? Have you council or court?

*Donovan makes brief eye contact with the newcomer and gives him a nod of acknowledgement. He then turns his attention to the exchange between Nuk and Arthos. Listens carefully to both of them, and to the reply offered by Amagus.*
"Indeed, let this be a venue for criticism as well - so long as civility is maintained and proper attention is paid to the topics already being discussed. Proceed."

Nuk is correct in stating that Corbyn was put into place by a limited number of people of Haven. However, no one else has yet shown the the same amount of support by people in the town. At the time he became Duke he was supported by a majority of the Guilds and Houses in Haven. That majority of Guilds and Houses included the majority of residents at the time. There fore I see no fault in calling him "the people's Duke."
You say that it is "ignorant" to trust someone so soon and you say that "No amount of time is long enough to discern the loyalties of someone." If this is true then it makes no difference whether we wait to trust them our not. Their loyalities will hidden from us as long as they care for them to be. Therefore I see no negative in immediately offering someone trust, and a positive in trusting them sooner. It offers more time for them to beneficial to the Haven.
I would appreciate it if you refrained from making accusation at this time. This is a time for questions and answers. If you would like to make accusations about the actions of the Guild of Thunder and whether those actions are treasonous or not, then it should be taken up with the Magistrate or the Council. I am sure myself and the other Council members would be willing to hear from you after this forum is finished. However, until then, I would appreciate if you would as Donovan asked "keep a civil tongue."

*Atrum smiles to Arthos*
Thank You, Rising Sun is producing focusing materials, with the # of arcane and empaths in town and how much their services are needed to keep people on this side of the veil, it only seemed proper and most beneficial to Haven.
*To noone in particular*
I would certainly tend to agree with Nuk, we have too many enemies to be giving out anything of the sort freely. Not that we should treat newcomers as enemies, but we should definitely not be handing over arcane or alchemical knowledge so haphazardly. If it were up to me Quen there wouldn't be here either, but not to ruffle any feathers I have not expelled him from the Inn, even feeding and supplying him when the Crescent Moon had an issue with their supplies.
*To Quen*
It's not that I don't like you, I just don't like having a known spy sitting amonst us and feeding and clothing him so that when Malcolm eventually returns he has the know of every nuance of our society. Malcolm apparently believes that he can lord over us, or in the least tax us. I would have hoped that you would have seen by now that we are just trying to scratch out our own existance here and become sympathetic to our cause. But your display earlier tells me that you have not and still serve Malcolm, even though he doesn't even care enough to keep you from starving to death. A great man he must be huh. Treats his people so kindly as to let them fend for themselves.
*Shakes his head in disbelief and turns to Amagus with a hearty laugh*
I have not been given any title by the guilds in the house nor have I chosen to give myself one either. I don't seek to have such, although some will give me such anyway. Truthfully I never wanted to be more than the guild head that I was, but circumstances have sort of chosen my path for me, even though I have resisted it for years now. I have had titles, I happen to be one of those that was sort of born into it that Donovan spoke of. They don't change anything about who you are, only how others will treat you. Some would think it a blessing, which it certainly can be, but it can also be a curse. Too much is put into what goes before someones name as opposed to how that person goes about their life. People like Malcolm and Roderick may need "Lord" or "King" (the words nearly spit out) to make themselves seem more than they are, I do not. I am a person trying to survive in a harsh and deadly world, just like most everyone else here in Haven.
*To Donovan and Corbyn and the pther person that asked about it*
As far as Incarius, the constable, he should be returning soon, if he does not then I would suspect that something happened to him and would advise the council to proceed accordingly.

*Talana listens carefully to everyone who speaks and is respectful as she takes notes and makes comments, as given audience by Donovan. Once again, she makes a motion to Donovan to speak once again, and once recognized, she says:*
"Donovan, your flyer indicated that this forum was also to..." *pauses and reads from the announcement* "address concerns about an unequal distribution of information..." *Talana looks up when done reading.*
"Now when I first came here I was at an obvious loss as to what exactly the current events were gone and as I published my Chronicle last moon I did so in an effort to educate the people of Haven and share information that was not 'sensitive.' I made an inquiry with Duke Gravesbane and asked that he refer me to the Town Seneschal or local bards, and unfortunately the only reference I was given was Robin, who is indisposed. So the question remains, who is keeping any repository of information for the people of Haven to reference when need be? And if there is no such repository, is there any objection to the creation of a local library, as such?"

"The Crescent Moon has been declared to support the Duke, yet no such claim is evident of the Rising Sun. Yet the Duke and Atrum apparently work closely together in matters of politics. How is Atrum to be considered then, in relation to the Duke?"

by Atrum Draconus
*To Amagus with a chuckle*
I would not think it a complicated matter in truth, I am to be considered however you choose to. I thought I explained that rather clearly, no offense intended, of course. If you mean as far as our governmental heirarchy, I am a house head which means I can sit in on council meetings in an advisory position, and may vote for 1 guild that supports me if that guilds head is not present or readily available. As for Corbyn and I talking over the specifics, I am house head of the house that currently does not lend it's support to Corbyn as Duke. Only a fool would not consider the concerns of a large # of people that have chosen to inhabit the same area but do not support them. Neither Corbyn nor myself would fall under that moniker. Does that clear it up for you?

*After speaking to Lambic for a few minutes, the stranger stands and addresses the assembled group*
If the purpose of this meeting is to distribute information, perhaps someone can explain to me what occured here approximately one moon ago? At that time I was several weeks travel to the south when one evening I was awakened not only by a tremendous release of energy, but by a anguished wail that resounded from the surrounding hillsides. Judging by what I've seen, a copious amount of blood was spilled and there was a great deal of death.
So I ask again, what happened here?
