Brokehill Quest: Chapter 2

We should continue with the flaming death action. We have tried to communicate with these creatures many times, and have been attacked for apparently no reason just as often. Plus, they have been killing our villagers whom we are sworn to protect. This spell may give them something to remember should they choose to attack us in the future.
*Goes over and guides the scouting party to a place in the circle behind Ka and begins treating their injuries.*
Ka, hold my shield for a while will you?

*Kels stands guard over Corbyn while he is tending to Kidwynn and Sethreal. He looks angry and he awaits the enemy to show themselves so he can launch his own reply to their arrow assault on the scouting party.*
Dead pirate betrayed by Corbyn...ah well least I made him do his own dirty work when he killed me.
*coughs*
We were merely trying to find a better location to rest that could have been out of their area when those people fired on us. They are the ones provoking our actions, not us luv.
By refusing to speak they are not going to allow this to be any other way.

Dallid, can you heal Setheral's wound? We need everyone healthy.
This spell may or may not insight them to launch a larger attack. However, as they seem to be unable to see past the reflected fires very well, which was the point of them, they'll have to take them out first. We'll have a good view of them as they approach. Also, I'm hoping this will sting enough to instill a little fear in them. If they insist on continuing we'll have plenty of time to do it again. As elvish types, I can't imagine them hanging around for a third dose.

*A glowing light passes from Dallid's hand to Sethreal's wound, the Life energy overwhelming and neutralizing the destructive poison*
The first arrows were not fired until we began stirring - drawing weapons and readying shields. As none within the camp are being shot at now, perhaps the first salvo was a warning? Perhaps no one else will be hurt should we remain here and passive for the rest of the night. They left us largely in peace while we slept - acting only to remove Rahl from their trees.

Learn the past. Observe the present. Guide the future.
Only problem is, if it's a warning, what is it a warning of. Two of us tried to leave and were shot. Seems dumb to give a warning of don't leave your encampment. We wouldn't have done that had we not been disturbed. They started this and can end it at any time.
Donmayo, have any desire to venture to the edge of the fires with no weapons to see what they do? Attacking an unarmed opponent isn't exactly a warning.

*Gets up after Corbyn is done healing her and stands next to Kels to let him know she is alright. She turns to the group.*
Parlez is out of the question. We tried that. We tried moving to a different location for we thought we were in their territory and that failed.
As much as I dislike saying this, these beings are giving us no other choice but to fight.

Certainly I will scout a little and see what I can find, though I fear it will do little good. It seems to me that they are hearding us together, not warning us. If they wanted to warn us to leave, then why prevent it. If they want to kill us, then why not fire. Elves can hurl magic as well at least that is what I have noticed by a lot of them. It would be a simple matter to for them to destroy our shields, and then fire arrows at us. Sooner or later... we loose.
And another thing, if he cast that while I'm out there, I can come and go, but if I go, I get to take the hit.
I think it would be wisest to remain here perpair for them to attack and hold our ground until day break, then we should get the heck out of here. Should they attack, we should wait until last possible moment to attack with that spell, to insure maximum effect.

*Seeing 3 birdmen in the road Corbyn asks:
"Donmayo can we trust these travelers?"
-They are Avyana, of course not"
“But you’re an Avyana”
-Yesss I am, aren't I...
