Yeah.. I know there are online places to get saber props (
http://www.parksabers.com/), but I meant one you can cut through a blast door with. Meijer will likely NEVER sell those.

3 foot laser beam? Bah, lightabers are plasma if I recall correctly from my science of Star Wars book
(sadly, also the best book for explaining the thoery of relativity I've ever found, lol)

Your both correct. In order for a lightsaber to get hot enough to do what they do, it would need to be a point articulated laser Generated plasma. That's the only way to generate line temperatures of > 1 Million Kelvins. (Suffient to cleave through.....anything.)
Of course, that's all just after explanation. I'm certain they were never anything but 'Light Swords'. Still, I'd really like a zero point stream of a million degrees.
