Well, that is the problem with the boards. Some people are on often and some not at all.

I was merely acting out how I thought Curufin would feel. But I do think that it is cheese that if Arthos wanted to/would have knocked me out, but wasn't up or around AND on the boards that he couldn't do it if his character was there.

Stopping and waiting to fight IRL? While that would be one option...kinda of impossible. Everyone here knows that there is no way we would ever be able to round all the people up and meet somewhere to do this. So it would never be 'fair'.

My advice would be for the GM's to talk to Tonia and Brian and see what they have planned. I really don't think that it neededs to come down to peoples feeling getting hurt or their characters dieing. Lets just wait to see what they say.

If others want to do a 'rewind' because they feel that there is no way that they would have let this happen.....maybe that is something we should explore.

The thing is, if a single PC wants this stalled and picked up next event, we really should consider stalling it. I hate the thought of 'rewriting it' and 'pretending nothing happened' or what-not.

The problem is also that it all hit the fan AFTER midnight... when many were asleep. Thus, not everyone got a fair chance to responde in character.

Fr myself, it was not something pleasant to which to awaken this morning.

*sigh*

I agree with Brad, I don't think this can just go away...but other than a rewind... Hmm, maybe it can be why we all move to the new site and live together in one huge cabin-the powers that be decide we all need a fresh start and to learn to live together in perfect harmony-ish. :)

I agree that everyone needs to be available if something on this level is tossed out and that negates boards use as I know several people (Like Incarious, future constable) who don't even have net access...

I think that the whole situation has escalated too far too quickly. The GMs should narrate the situation to a place we can start again nicely without anyone taking anything back or we just reset time to the end of the last event and make people play nicely till we can have the needed participants in person (Preferably the former in my opinion).
