*Aurora looks at the creature and then to Abaddon.*

What I know is that apparently he was held in chains and doesn't seem to like elves very much. From the looks of him, they blasted him with magic quite a bit for I noticed some faded burn mark scaring that only a magic blast could have produced.

Apparently he can speak slightly. He calls Dallid, "White Man" and he knows both mine and Galen's name since we helped him out up at the Keep.

*She turns her attention to Galen*

Did I miss anything?

:rothek watched as the old pale face walked in next to aurora, he remembered him from when he was at his house and immediately looked around for mary.:

"err, old pale face" :rothek said as he looked at abaddon :

"where pale face cub?"

:rothek gave an inquisitive chuff then looked at aurora as she mentioned dallid:

"she with white man?"

"Pale pace cub named Mary, she is with her teacher Ashearth. He is her guardian at this time." Abaddon says.

"He doesn't like elves? I knew I liked him."

*Aurora looks amused and looks at Abaddon, Galen, and Rothek.*

So what are you saying my Uncle, Atreus and a few others aren't really elves?

Granted I dislike the bastards who attempted to eleminate all of us and who harmed the people of Haven.

*She pauses for a few moments.*

I do understand where you are coming from. So Abaddon, I was wondering if you might be able to give me some information. What to you know of..let's just say I'm going to call him Ash and how on earth was he granted permission to use a little girl as a shield? Oh wait I'll be more tactful...how on earth did someone like that become a guardian of someone so innocent...

:Rothek's eyes narrowed as the conversation shifted, he showed is disapproval with a low growl then snorted, and looked at up at the three:

"elves not friends, but white man say elves here are good. so not eat white man's elves."

:the beast shook, knelt down and laid on the floor next to aurora and galen. he blinked a few times and scanned the room of the tavern taking in the new place.:

"My natural inclination is to be distrustful of elves. History sides with me on this one. Not every elf is a monster, but in groups they are dangerous. They enslaved my people." Abaddon says.

"I do not know. I was told that no one offered to take her in, and Ashearth stepped up. I was not here, I would have and I am going to make sure she is safe. Ashearth does not seem to pose any threat. And he was quite nice to me when I asked him to let me teach her the ways of the An'irri."

*Aurora takes a drink*

Wish you would have been there to take her in instead of him. I have been made well aware of what he once was before magic becamse whole and I say and history will back me on this, once one touches that level of evil they don't change.

...they manipulate, con, or whatever but that thurst for power is there. From what I've seen Mary is more his shield to try to keep others at bay then a true mentor/guardian or what have you.

Maybe I have issue with him not only becuase of what was but because he reveled quite happily in the demise of a witch-hunter. Maybe I am also very leary of him because Vaal of all people wanted to rip his head off.

*She takes another drink.*

Maybe I have an issue because while we were at the mining village for the Queen's wedding not once did myself or a few others notice him defending the Queen or if he's so eager to fight evil mages, stand against that chick who could switch her elemental form. You were out there standing side by side for awhile with me.

I don't know...call it instinct or how you, Galen, and the wolf man here feels about elves.

"The strings of ancient magic have changed. Now it is not what we use that matters but what we do that counts. I know the stirngs of necromancy and I was in Legacy and faced the Tear armies.

But this is different. He did help I saw him cast his spells and stand in front of the girl. The Queen has seen fit to show him grace, so we can only do the same."

*Aurora grins possibly at amazement at Abaddon's words.*

You realize this is like the same debate you and I could have about elves. That there are more than those high elves that took over Haven, that there is another faction called wood elves that are close to nature and more peaceful.

You, more than likely would not believe me....

So basically yeah that's how I feel. I understand that magic is one and some of the rules don't apply. But necromancers were necromancers back then because of a lust for power. They are meglomaniacs and as I stated could manipulate all sorts. How do you think the Red Tear came into power? A bunch of people believing what a necromancer like the Master would say.

I sense a darkness in him I can't shake and I worry about the safety of the people of this area. Any witch-hunter who even knows about the old ways would be HIGHLY leary of him and if they were trained in the old ways as I have been...they'd feel the same. Maybe even some who remember back then about that kind of magic would agree with me.

But as I explained earlier....me and this Ash or people like him is how you all feel about pointy ears.

"Indeed. Then you would do well to keep him here where you can watch him for scheming.

As for the red tear, at least we know he is not a spy, as they would not be so stupid as to send a Necromancer to do their spying. Then again they are over two centuries of failure." Abaddon says, sipping his tea.

:rothek looked around the tavern, then sniffed the air like he did when brought to a new area, as aurora and abaddon continued there conversation they didnt notice that the wolf beast man's ears perked up and had begun to sniff the floor as if looking for something. he got up from laying on the floor and was now crawling on all fours toward what was more than likely the kitchen.:

*Aurora notices the movement towards the kitchen and gets up moving towards the wolf creature quickly*

Hey there beastie. Stop...er heal. Hold on a second. You can't go in there.

*Pulls out some deer jerkey.*

If you are hungry, first have this and then I'll see what they might have back there for you.

*Looks at Galen*

Hungry? Apparently our wolf pal here is so I figured if I'm ording something for him, you might want to see if the cook here is as good as you are.

*She grins*

:rothek stopped halfway into the kitchen when he heard aurora's voice and lifted his head shooting his ears again to a point turning around to see what it was he spied the dear jerky, crawling back over toward the forest folk and pale face, again just as he did at the keep he very precisely plucked the jerky from auroras hand with his front fangs and began to eat. the beast chuffed approvingly in between his chewing of the dried meat:

"He seems quite docile in your hands. Almost sentient even. Well done." Abaddon says with a smile that can bee seen through the mask.

*Aurora looks at Abaddon.*

He just likes Galen and I because when he made a commotion up at the Keep we didn't try to immediately hurt him. I also removed the chains that he was wearing.

I believe he is sentient, but the elves who had him as a slave beat it out of him.
