Alice breathed a sigh of relief when they said that half-elves were safe here, but her heart skipped a beat when they mentioned that there was a queen. Her past experiences with monarchies had been disastrous, but she bit her tongue and held her silence. She'd had a worse encounter with a Valkyn'vi...but she would never hold that against Danimoth. Straightening up, she reminded herself of her vows...

When Braidenvayl mentions Korrigan returning and being the innkeeper, she nods in understanding. Swallowing hard, she asks, "And...how is Danimoth handling Dizzy's--" her voice caught in her throat at the thought of how he must be feeling now. She quickly continued, "..her loss....I know they were very close."

Serena gave Alice's arm a reassuring squeeze. The young archer smiled despite signs of exhaution.

"Don't worry, Alice. As for Legion, I haven't seen him yet. But don't worry, I'll talk to him. I'll take care of everything. "

"No!"

Her voice is unnaturally sharp. She coughs and it returns to its usual softness.

"Braidenvayl, this is my responsibility. Let me do it. I'm fine. "

:annoyed by serena's stubborness, braidenvayl sighs:

"and its also a leaders responsibility to know their limits, you have been going non stop since we got here, you dont have to do everything yourself.

:braidenvayl was speaking in his "big brother" tone of voice and assumed the same stance:

"for once in your life, just.... listen to me."

*Comes into the inn carring quite a large satchel over his shoulder as it looks Serith is prepared for a journey

"I can tell you, Legion is.....not taking Dizzy's death well."

*Looks to the 3 of the assembled

"And to be honest, I really dont think that you will be able to provide much comfort at the moment, he is battling some inner demons that is for sure."

*Smiles to the newcomer

"And do not worry about being accepted because of your heritage, they seem to like me, and im a half-breed who hates my "better" half..."

*Looking around

"Have you seen Korrigan? I was hoping to get some of his good stuff for what looks to be a long and cold road ahead?"

Serena opened her mouth to begin shouting down Braidenvayl once again, but pauses when Serith walks up. She snaps her mouth shut and gives Braidenvayl a glare. After a moment, she sighs,

"I don't expect to bring Legion much comfort, but I have a few things that should go to him. But, Legion is a powerful man, and I'd rather not risk anyone else being harmed. As for Korrigan, I haven't seen him yet."

:braidenvayl crossed his arms and met Serena's glare with his own, he was making it very clear he wasn't going to back down:

" last i saw korrigan he was talking with some dwarves that ran the place while he was gone, but i dont know where they might have gone."

:braidenvayl looked down at the floor:

"i would hazard a guess that it would be a good idea to let legion be alone for a while,

:braidenvayl squeezes serena's arm in a manner of a hint giving gesture and notices the large satchel serith is carrying:

"going somewhere?"

The archer bristled at Braidenvayl before nodding slightly.

"Maybe you have a point."

*Nods to Braidenvayl and Serena

"I understand the need...and want to comfort friends, but heed my only warning, tread lightly with him."

*Chuckles to Braidenvayl's comment about leaving

"Yeah, got some loose ends to tie up, and something about trying to gather some information that could prove helpful."

*Pats him on the Shoulder

"Try not to get into too much trouble while Im gone ok?"

Confident that she would not be persecuted for her heritage, Alice removed the scarf around her head, revealing a pair of slightly pointed ears. When Braidenvayl mentioned bringing her things upstairs, Alice tried to say 'All I have is right here in this bag. I can do it myself. It's no trouble'. Before she could, however, Serena and Braidenvayl began discussing who should comfort Danimoth.

Sensing the tension between her companions, Alice feared for a moment that her inquiry may have reinstated some previous argument between the two. When a strange man walked into the inn carrying a large pack, she breathed a sigh of relief as he diffused the situation.

Saddened by the thought of Danimoth suffering alone, Alice looked down at the floor distractedly. At his warning to leave "Legion" be, she nodded in understanding and agreement, silently vowing to let her friend grieve in his own way for now. She also wondered why everyone called him 'Legion'. She had only ever known him as 'Danimoth'. The very name 'Legion' gave her a dark and cold feeling in the pit of her stomach...

Listening to her companions and the stranger speaking, she took in her surroundings carefully, understanding that this place may very well be her new home...

Serena gave a nod and a smile to Serith before turning and slinging an arm around Alice's shoulders.

"Well, let's get you settled in, shall we?"
