Dallid watches the exchange between Paer’An and Legion.
“You both have sworn an oath to have Abbadon face justice? Good – then we are all of common cause. You would do well to work with the rest of Haven in this. Progress will come faster should our efforts be coordinated and we keep from stepping on one another’s toes.”
“Many of us know little of what exactly happened when the House of Chance was destroyed. Your perspective on the matter would be greatly appreciated.”

"I can only speak for myself, but I have always had Haven's best interests in mind Dallid. Since I'm assuming that letter was from Abaddon himself, it's safe to presume he's already here? Then it makes my job that much easier..."
The heat from his voice dissipates, as does his grip on the sword at his waist. Comforted by Legion's reaffirmation of his oath, his posture relaxes as he turns to address the Queen.
"Unfortunately, this unpleasant business will have to wait a little while longer my Queen. I fear I must travel back to Avanguard for some unfinished business, and also to lend them my aid during the coming Blood Moon. Are there any instructions or messages you wish me to carry during my stay in *cough* Vampaguard *cough*, I mean Avanguard?"

“Abbadon had a letter delivered. His whereabouts are unknown, but we can assume he is near.”
“If no further details may be offered, then I suggest we invite Abbadon to fill in the blanks. Leave a message under the specified chair as requested asking him to submit to questions, mind probe, and perhaps even interrogation. No doubt the message will be retrieved by an honest villager hired for the task. The villager must not be followed, lest Abbadon flee and never receive the message. Detail that he should meet with an escort outside of Haven at a specific time, whereupon he will be taken to the Keep. His safety must be guaranteed , with an escort provided when he leaves, as well. If there is any chance of him being attacked or imprisoned as a result of his visit, I doubt he will show, and we will have no more answers than we do today.”
“Mind you, if he has committed murder, then he has erased his memory so even he is unaware. Unless evidence can be offered to the contrary, he would likely have to be presumed innocent.”

Ark nods in approval at Dallids conformation of the use of mind effects to discern the truth.
