Yeah but you wanted realism. I was just saying touching a key to a lock is very huried and doesnt capture the drama in the same way, but such is life.

in the tags defense, you can only take the "realism" argument as far as you can chuck a packet full of bird seed and call it a fireball.

Why not put a count on the time it takes to use the key.

Say a 5 second count of holding the key to the lock. It could even be disrupted by being attacked.

Actually Daffyd that was originally discussed.. and after seeing the locks and keys played out last year, I am liking that idea more and more.. There might still be problems with that.. but maybe we can try that for a year and see how it goes..

GOes to show ya.. always have your keys prepared when monsters attack.
